that Henry would have stayed if he thought we were short on numbers and we really needed him but the fact that we are so deep on the DLine and that's without Gary, imagine adding him?

My way of saying we still have a kick ass DL.

I said about 10 days ago I could see a round 3 grade on him because of flexibility btw DE and DT....he can play in either 3-4 or 4-3 and heck Clark got a 2nd round pick who had like 6 sacks his senior year so Henry seems like good value at 3 when guys like Cauron Reid and Devin Taylor are 4th and 5th rounders.

I got negged to death. :)  Strange how we piss on our own.

Dude has a great frame and I don't see him getting past the late 3rd round as he is a ready plug and play role player from day 1 who you hope to develop into more in year 2-3 of his rookie contract.  Guys in the 4th and 5th are more your projects.  I dont see him as a project.

Regardless of the round in which Willie Henry is selected, it looks like Michigan's streak of having a player chosen in the NFL Draft will continue.

It seems like it wasn't too long ago when there were concerns expessed here that it was going to take a pick in the seventh round by Stephen Ross's Miami Dolphins in order for that streak to continue. LINK TO MICHIGAN'S NFL DRAFT HISTORY

I would have loved to see him return for one more year, but he had a nice bowl game and really a nice season all around last year (hard to believe 2015 is now last year, but anyway....), so I get it. I could see him as a nice rotational guy up front for a team at least starting out, and hopefully that would blossom into a starting role. Best of luck to him.

is that he hails from Glenville, an Ohio State pipeline in Cleveland, and Ohio State passed on him. He then ends up being one of the biggest contributors in his recruiting class and is now virtually guaranteed to be drafted, all as a sort of last minute flier. An ironically awesome situation all-around. Good luck to him and wish him a long career in the NFL.
