BTN Cp Tour #Wolverines I wasn't expecting 2 say this but they have enough talent 2 win all games.I thought they were over rated they're not

"war at the line of scrimmage" comment from a few years back.
I don't feel that he's blessed us or cursed us in any form. Just adding to the hype is all.

Gerry, you could be on to something.

He referenced that on his new show and admitted to being wrong on that. He ranks us in the top 4.

DiNardo said the Offensive Line looked like Alabama out there in practice.
That's the year when we couldn't run the ball (27 for 27), Gardner got sacked a million times, etc.

I read all that BTN fluffery today. And that's really all it is. It reads like the theme song to The Lego Movie: EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! EVERYTHING IS COOL WHEN YOU'RE PART OF THIS TEAM.
The only vaguely critical comment was about the running backs needing to bring it this year.
It was all more of a marketing effort than any sort of insightful analysis. And besides, do you really think Harbaugh would let them see what life is *really* like on the submarine?

I'd much rather have him be positive about our chances. He could have gone the other way and then we'd be defensive about our team and say he's dead wrong. Having said that, let's just beat Hawaii and go from there.

With all of these predictions, the SI cover, are we going to officially dub this the cursed season until something good, like a win over MSU and/or OSU, a Big Ten Title, a Playoff Spot, a National Championship, happens?
August 16th, 2016 at 9:16 AM ^
has said, says, and will say a lot of things about BIG football generally and about M specifically that have turned out, do, and will turn out to be exaggerations. And hey, at this stage in the season every team has a chance to go undefeated.
M is no doubt a good team and might be a great team who will put out another first-year QB, whose O-line has never been better than OK and whose starting RB needs to be really healthy. Receivers are good to excellent. The D, especially if the LBs turn out to be good, will keep M in a number of games and in several could well supply the victory difference.
Of course I hope Gerry's right, but let's check back with him after the Wisconsin, Iowa, and MSU games and see how he feels then.

but he has been around a long time and he's obviously impressed with what he sees at practice, so I will at least take it that the team is looking very good.

This is the same guy that praised how physical the Michigan teams looked under BH.

went 59-76-1 coaching college football.
Beano Cook was a better prognosticator picking Notre Dame to win national championships every year.

I can't listen to a thing DiNardo says without thinking, "this guy went 2-8 at LSU..."

Matt Millen was one of the worst GMs in all of sporting history, and I think he does a fine job breaking down plays as a color man.
DiNardo sucks at both. I don't think he does a good job being an analyst as everyone in his eyes is amazing.
