Former Clemson Player Saying Dabo Dropped N Bomb in Locker Room
Having worked in Detroit for several years this "word" is something I heard countless times a day. I think saying the "word" or the "n" word sounds even worse than dropping the bomb. Now I also heard and was called cracker, white devil, honky, white mother fucker, but we'll pretend that didn't happen. Two way street folks.
This isn’t really a Michigan sports blog is it. This is literally nibbling around politics in almost every thread created now. Brian, Seth, any mods still here or do we have to hear about every complaint of racism and politics now???
I was considering starting another site but I have no knowledge of how I could make it seamless and somewhat useable. And I’m now back to working full time, finishing my last class for my degree.
I know of a really good web design company that could help you out...
literally there isn't a nibbling of active sports at this time. You've apparently never been here in the offseason.
Korean baseball and UFC so far. Better than nothing.
We had a head coach who was very religious, and VERY opposed to foul language, particularly pre-game locker room/practice. As high school kids, he didn't need to SAY I don't want to hear F, S, D, W...whatever profanity spewed. He'd deliver the most spine chilling whistle that could work through ten feet of concrete, deliver a look of death, and stand at the top of the stairs until the radio was shut off..then walk out. He'd wait for the seniors to roll out and have a quick talk about expectations of leadership, 'I don't want to hear ***** ever again from that radio...are we clear?' Nobody ever felt he was cursing AT us, nobody ever went over his head to say, 'coach called us this, used this word.' It was a message of acceptable behavior.
In contrast the coach who followed him used Fuck as a sentence enhancer...one meeting after practice he used it 64 times in 8 minutes...the kids counted. He lasted two seasons. There is a difference between expectation, and use. I know everyone wants to throw Dabo under the bus for his high and migthty, and I'd sure as heck believe he may misuse the term...but telling players "no **** this and ***** that music" That's expecting college MEN to get his point. It's ironic how many here called Justin Fields soft for leaving Georgia not that long ago...the jokes made about his snowflake feelings and it was a fan in the stands. How the scope and application changes perspective when it hurts UM.
Would rather see Dabo stay. If he leaves OSU will win a national title within 2 seasons.
Being born a white male in this country really sucks. Sure, it is easier to gets jobs, and the police don't kill me, and I am unlikely to be sexually assaulted. But it is so unfair that black people can use the N-word to refer to each other, and women can use the c-word or the b-word to refer to each other.
Every race gets killed by police. The total number is still too high, far too high, but it has been decreasing for a few years now.
Every race, male and female, experiences sexual assault. Think Catholic Church, Jerry Sandusky types. White males are sexually assaulted. Hell, university of Michigan is going through allegations from a former employee.
Im not trying to paint anyone as a victim. I just found this to be one of the most ignorant comments I’ve ever seen on this blog.
