First Bracketology - Michigan an 8 seed

Submitted by SWBlue on

I know these bracketology projections are worth absolutely nothing (just like bowl projections and the like) but it is a little interesting to see how Michigan is perceived at this point before the regular season begins.

It appears that we have a solid team and with Beilein, I expect them to improve throughout the season.

BTW - Michigan State is a #1 seed (no shit) and is projected to play at Little Caesars Arena in round 1.

And the majority of their athletes will be bizarre human-gator hybrids, which won't count against the scholarship limit since they aren't technically people (VOTE YES ON PROP 3 TO GRANT RIGHTS TO HUMAN-GATOR HYBRIDS!)

You know, my grandpa was on of the first trans-gators to fight in the pluto moon-war defending our galaxy from the invasive chrichtchon insect species, and he deserves health-manna care and neo-plasmin just like everyone else! What the VA Earth Corps. Division is doing to our space-veterans is a space-tragedy.

Of course MSU is a #1 seed. And of course they'll be playing a virtual home game in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Ugh, the annual Sparty hoops love at this time of year is absolutely nauseating. On the contrary, I'm looking forward to plenty of this..

Ughhh.......  I don't know if I will be able to handle my Sparty friends this upcoming basketball season with all the fanfare of this being their year.

On the flip side, I expect a nice season from Beilein and the boys and if Charles Matthews is all that he is cracked up to be, I can see a Sweet 16 appearance again this year.

I got this covered.  I'm going to pick Staee to win it all again in my office pool.  Just like I did in 2016.  I have figured out the optimal way to use my inability to gamble for the greater good of the world.

Not surprising and sounds about right to me. We have potential to be a top 20 team, but gotta prove it first. Too many unknowns to put us higher IMO.

there were 41 YourMoms who came before you on this blog (and potenitially limitless more hereafter)? Or are you angered/aroused/??? by middle aged Moms? Or you are feuding with a user named 42 (which I guess might necessitate a comma in there)?  Something else altogether?  I'm just so intrigued by this moniker, especially in conjunction with the avitar. Do tell and welcome aboard.

The tournament has not caused lack of interest in the basketball regular season. The relative facelessness of the players is the culprit. These programs lack identity and that starts with the players. The top guys play for a year and leave.

Football is a totally different sport. The uniform is the thing and the players are by and large faceless. Interest in Oklahoma football will not go down because Mayfield leaves. It will only go down if they start to stink over an extended period of time.

This team can be special: - if Wagner improved even a little bit he could be a NPOY candidate. - Mathews will probably be an upgrade at the 3, maybe a huge upgrade. - the PG position has a high floor with Simmons but will probably be a slight downgrade from Walton. - we need Robinson and Livers to play well at the 4.
