Even though the ref was on the other side of the player, so he couldn't see the hit, the physics of the way each player is hit/falls in NO WAY POSSIBLE could have even "looked" 'below the waist'.

Ridiculous.

They need to youth-en up the refs. SInce the advent or replay and hi-def camera is exposing the inaccuracy of refs (which probably always existed).

Change begets change.

Every single targeting call has gone against us this year offensively and defensively. That illegal block below the waist call was one of the worst I've ever seen and the ref was standing RIGHT THERE.

Today was rough. We aimed the gun at our feet and had the refs pull the trigger. But the D played well enough and Rudock played well enough.

No running game is concerning going into next week. Unless this is corrected, we will get blown out next week.

It seems like Harbaugh's anger actually backfires at times.  It's like the refs want to prove that they can make a call against Michigan and face him.

The refs are middle aged dudes working two jobs to make ends meet. My guess is they HATE having a guy knocking down 6mm a year yelling about their incompetence and take every opportunity to let him know it.

I dont complain about refs 10 out of 12 games a year as people generally overreact to home team. But this game...yes. Horrid.

Zettel should have been thrown out as well.

I don't disagree they way I see the rule applied "at times", but I don't think the forceful intent was there to throw him out.  Now, that seems inconsistent to the way the rule has been applied, but I know I would be pissed if one our players got tossed for a hit that really wasn't that forceful.  And still amazing that Rudock is 0-for in the target calls.

My view of targeting is that you really need to get lit up to get ejected.  I always think of the DB or S smoking a WR with the crown of their helmet.  That is what I thought originated the rule.

Someone needs to get fired. This shit is out of control. Both on field officials, and especially the replay booth. Just disgraceful.

Have some pride, for fuck sake.
