Everything Sucks NEGBANG

Submitted by Wolverinefan84 on November 25th, 2018 at 7:56 AM

Today is a bad day. All hope is lost. CFP dreams turned into nightmares. Our beloved coach got out-coached. Our beloved DC got shredded. We put up a dud on the biggest stage, and that makes me sad. Everything sucks so this calls for a good ole-fashioned NEGBANG.

Now Meyers health issues will disappear, he will regain recruiting traction that was on shaky ground...& stay around for more years to humiliate us every year. This was our year to get him out possibly & put that dynasty to bed for a bit. Thanks JH for the great game plan...

From a pure W/L standpoint we’re roughly back to where we were from around 1980-2006. A consistent top 5 to top 15 program. What’s different now is that our rival OSU has acended to another tier that has made them consistently the better team, and we’re not getting the breaks in close games with them to pull of the occasional series upset. The blowouts also feel different and really suck. I just don’t remember Bo-Mo-Carr teams getting blown out. Maybe it’s just modern CFB.

Given our geography and native talent base we’re unlikely to ever reach that top 5 tier of CFB royalty. The most we can probably hope for is that our strong tradition and some decent coaching hires keep us in the top 5-15 range and that OSU eventually comes back to our realm so that this rivalry can avoid going the way Mich-Minnesota, and maybe someday we get that ‘miracle’ year, like 1997.

We are still poop this morning and will lose to OSU next year as well. It is nice to go 10-3/11-2. It sucks to know we are for the foreseeable future the second best team in the conference.

Chase: "Let's call this The Revenge Tour."

Don Brown:  "You serious?"

Jim:  "No, hear the kid out...  I like it.  We can make money for the University and everything."

I had to watch the game with a bunch of Ohio State people.

This was a social event I had to attend, not a sporting event.  So I had to make nice for hours after as if nothing happened.

All I wanted to do was break some furniture and then curl up in a ball on the couch.

I watched that entire fucking game and I missed the one minute of action where we scored 2 touchdowns.

I watched the entire game alone at home. Every awful second. The one exception was that I got up to go to the bathroom near the end of the first half. When I got back to the game, we had scored 2 touchdowns in a minute. I looked at my phone and read what happened. I didn't rewind to watch it live because I wanted to watch in real time and I assumed that there would be plenty more great Michigan highlights. Wrong. I saw everything except that one minute of the game. No point in watching it now.

Things that suck.

-We loss to OSU again.  This time after what looked like a very promising season.

-U of M football season is done.  It was a fun one but then blew up in our face yesterday.

-My M flag blew into a ditch somehow(?)

-I have to work tomorrow with a bunch of Sparty fans who care more about our loss than their pathetic season and program.

-There are aweful people that walk this earth and tweet disgusting words to the players.  If that’s you, fuck you and go to hell.

However,

Its the day to go get a Christmas tree with the fam and decorate.  My kids are ecstatic.  Life goes on and it’s time to refocus on the things that actually matter.  Not a football game.  It will take a few days for the emotions to flush out but I’m well on the way.

Just hoping OSU draws Bama in round 1 of the playoff and gets destroyed...(knowing our luck they pull off the upset thought.)

I hope the destruction is really bad and Urban walks away, even with his perfect record against UM, and we can take the mantle as the bet team in the B1G, both recruiting and in on field results.

I just don't see us catching them in recruiting or on the field as long as he is around.  Win at all costs works for the guy, and works in college football unfortunately.

I just hope we hold on to this great recruiting class and a bunch of NFL eligible juniors stay so we don't regress next year.

I haven't displayed a Michigan anything since 2015, but I'm ready now.  I just need someone to make a shirt with the winged helmet and giant bolded words, "HASA DIGA EEBOWAI".  I would also fly a flag version of this on my flagpole.

I have one michigan fan card that I am looking to give away to a good home. I have followed this team since 97'. I can't put anymore effort into something that causes me so much frustration. The last 10 years have been enough for me; I am signing off.
