ESPN: Jabrill is #9 best player in CFB

Submitted by superstringer on

"Peppers might be the most versatile player in college football this season. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said the only player whom he has coached with the same ability to learn on the fly as the sophomore linebacker was Andrew Luck. That football intelligence combined with freakish athleticism is a scary combination."

Jourdan Lewis is #19 and Jake Butt is #54.  Tons of Bama and OSU players on their lists.

King better hope to get a jam on him and have help over the top for most of the game. If Hargreaves had a difficult time running with him, so will King. King doesn't have more speed than Vernon. Neither has the top end of Jehu. Last year was Jehu's coming out party. He has experience and confidence now. This offense will skorch the majority of the secondaries they face this year. No doubt in my mind.

I second that emotion! The most underated player on the team who doesn't get the credit he deserves. I think the best offensive player as well. He lit Hargreaves up and made him look like a non-kovacsian walk on. Hope he's healed and ready to go. Pep may be as exciting, but when a big play was needed it was always Chesson last year.

we luvs us some Chesson

Isn't a hybrid safety-linebacker kind of a strange position to project to the NFL? Maybe if he blitzes a lot, he'll get a bunch of sacks and TFLs to have "good stats".

We discussed it on a podcast some time ago, but I do believe that Peppers is probably as close as you get in football to a utility player a la baseball, someone who can basically do several things for you and do them well - exceptionally well, in the case of Peppers. Of course, I think Peppers' career track in football is much brighter potentially than the average utility player in baseball.

What a bunch of non sequitur, generic bullshit talk. He was the B10 freshman of the year, first team all B10, and 2nd team all American last year. As a freshman he was arguably our best player. You don't need takeaways to be a great player and you certainly don't need them to make an impact in big games

I really cant decide who my favorite player is on this years team. Reminds of that 2006 team with playmakers at every position. I think Jourdan Lewis is my favorite player, but man Chesson, Butt, Pep, Darboh, Smith, ect. Hard to choose.

Cant wait to see what Peppers does this year
