I'll be in the house! Not sure where I'm parking but I'll somehow figure it out.
Was at Yost last night and will be back tonight...so it's a full weekend of Maize and Blue activities!

Women's volleyball has 2 games this weekend - Friday and Saturday. Great sport to watch and ladies are super athletic! Have had season tickets for 10 years now as my daughter who use to play got us hooked.

I can't be there, but I'm hoping you see lots of this:
October 29th, 2021 at 7:42 PM ^
Always easy parking at the Mt Hope Rd. Commuter Lot, with bus shuttles $7, round trip. Always lots of UM tailgates/TV setups in the lot.
October 29th, 2021 at 10:35 AM ^
I'll be there. I'll be the one in the bright maize cheering my ass off for the Wolverines.
October 29th, 2021 at 11:30 AM ^
I know we really don't like them but this feels excessive.
October 29th, 2021 at 1:04 PM ^
it's a meme. like ... it's a joke.
sheesh
October 29th, 2021 at 1:37 PM ^
I guess the /s wasn't as obvious as I thought in my head.

This meme/gif is why school shootings exist. Well, this meme, and Grand Theft Auto. And maybe a little Marilyn Manson, or whatever rebellious singer is popular today.
October 29th, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
funny how you so glibly walk past the 'murderous clown!' part of that equation...
October 29th, 2021 at 7:48 PM ^
Some might want to consult Alec Baldwin. Gun jokes are not a good idea. Yeah, creative and amusing but there are safer, funnier jokes/memes.
I am not at all offended but we all know the drill.

Going, and same page as 1989, trying to figure out parking, Not even looking for a tailgate, just want to dump the car somewhere walkable and check out bars and Gameday.
Have been to Horseshoe once and it was 8/10 in terms of hostility, what should I expect here? Kinda feel like there will be far more of us and the vibe isn't quite as violent, albiet plenty of hate still to be found.
and sorry to be needy but besides parking, anyone know where the UM fans are gathering? Sometimes the alum clubs host events, but my old man googling skills have been thwarted so far.
Really loved FFFF this week, feels like Staee can be had, they might even be a touch less than a juggernaut on the OL. But resigned to a long drive back home in sadness, it's that uncertainty that makes it so gloriously rewarding when Michigan wins
Thanks, and Go Blue!

Crowd won't be as hostile as Columbus, but still a 7/10. Most of MSU fans are fine, but you will get some bad apples out there. Maybe not as bad tomorrow as the game is at noon. Have fun! Go Blue! Beat State!
October 29th, 2021 at 11:30 AM ^
In my experience msu fans are worse than osu fans. Luckily with a noon start not everyone will be completely shitfaced so hopefully it won't be too bad for you. Just stay alert, be smart and Go Blue!!!!!
October 29th, 2021 at 11:53 AM ^
MSU fans are worse than OSU fans in my experience. MSU fans have a massive inferiority complex. OSU fans don’t have that anymore.
October 29th, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^
I hope we can put that complex back into OSU fans soon
October 29th, 2021 at 12:35 PM ^
I went a few years back. You deal with the heckling, but honestly all in all it was good fun. A couple schmucks along the way, but most of the trash talk was in good spirits.
Of course, those were times where Michigan won in 2016 and 2018 :)
October 29th, 2021 at 12:47 PM ^
That cement shithole in east landfill is worse to go to now these days than the 'shoe. Buckle up!
October 29th, 2021 at 1:56 PM ^
Just don't walk down student row/campus row or whatever they're calling it this year. You'll be fine. I want to say it butts up to the tennis courts, if I remember correctly. The times I went I was very drunk. You'll know by the smell...
However, there is a good breakfast place downtown, by spartan spirits. IF it's still there.
October 29th, 2021 at 5:21 PM ^
A lot more throwing up in the stands in EL as compared to Columbus. Wear your old shoes and a slicker. Gross!
October 29th, 2021 at 10:48 AM ^
I’ll be there section 20 row 35. Don’t think there will be as many Michigan fans as usual bc it seems like ~400 of Michigan allotment is used for the band in section 105.
October 29th, 2021 at 10:53 AM ^
What do folks expect for the fan divide tomorrow? If msu was 4-3 or 5-2, i would think it could be about 70-30 msu/um... but given that theyre all hyped up... what do folks think?
I hope there's enough of an intermingling and hopefully some smoke about tucker leaving at 11:47 AM.
I REALLY want this game.
October 29th, 2021 at 11:32 AM ^
Yeah lately we've taken over their stadium, but this is one of the few games a year that they actually sell out and you know they think their hot shit right now (even on The Athletic they're going apeshit on Michigan articles) -- my point being is they're actually gonna show up for this game. probably 80/20 or 85/15 msu idiots.
October 29th, 2021 at 11:05 AM ^
Be loud (in the stadium). Be safe. Strength in numbers. Go Blue!
October 29th, 2021 at 11:49 AM ^
I'll be there
October 29th, 2021 at 12:55 PM ^
Serious question: what is your take on tomorrow’s game?
Whenever I’ve seen your posts, you’ve been very levelheaded about things and I’d be curious what a solid-state fan thinks about tomorrow.
October 29th, 2021 at 4:31 PM ^
I think we're a rightful underdog, because I think we're a top-15/20 team, not a top-10 one. I think our OL and DL can get pushed around a bit, so my biggest concern is that on offense we just can't get any rhythm going all game. On D, Michigan will probably try to grind it out and I think will find some success. I don't think MSUs pass D is as bad as most on here do, but I could see getting killed by 1000 paper cuts.
Having said that: MSU 27-Michigan 17 LFGGGGGGGG
October 29th, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
thank you for your take. i could see it going the way you do, but only if there are some more of those, shall we say, unique plays that seem to benefit sparty. and that could happen, don't get me wrong. trying to be objective, should be a heck of a game.
October 29th, 2021 at 11:50 AM ^
Looking forward to an exciting game with a good outcome. Hoping the weather is at least OK.
Parking? Probably somewhere north of Grand River between Harrison and Abbot. It seems to be the Burns Park equivalent of East Lansing (free, not exactly close to the stadium but still walkable).
October 29th, 2021 at 11:54 AM ^
I'll be there. This will be my 4th game in EL. All have been wins so far, let's go 4 for 4!!
GO BLUE!!!
October 29th, 2021 at 3:31 PM ^
We'll get a kickstarter going to reimburse you for tickets if we win this game. And we'll get you to Happy Valley, too.
October 29th, 2021 at 1:07 PM ^
I'll be on the couch eating a breakfast burrito nursing a hangover with a bloody mary
October 29th, 2021 at 3:42 PM ^
Don’t let a Spartan near that couch!
October 29th, 2021 at 1:32 PM ^
FYI they require a mask for entry
October 29th, 2021 at 1:34 PM ^
Get your tetanus up to date. Maybe a shot of gamma globulin in the butt.

I'm taking tickets :|
