Article by Nick Baumgardner over at Mlive. Don Brown talks about how young the defense will be next year.

Here are a couple of nice quotes

"But we're not going to change the way we make our living. If you approached our young corners and said 'hey, guys, you're not capable of playing press' -- I think they'd fight you in an alley."

"Rashan Gary's a scary human being," he said. "When you call them out to the mat (on the mat drill) they leap out at you. He's always in front of me and I think he does it on purpose, but when he leaps, it's like 'I think he may kill me.'"

Will certainly have his dudes ready to play next year no doubt. I really look forward to seeing Rashan have a monster year.

I don't agree with this at all, but there were concerns about Chris Wormley not being athletic enough at this point in his career. He turned out pretty damn good. We have the best DL coach in this he country. I don't care if they're shaped like a pear, banana, or watermelon...Greg Mattison will figure out how to get the absolute best out of each of those guys by the time they leave. Kemp will find a home where he can grow and contribute and be just fine.

as I remember it when he came in to M, not his ability.

There were also concerns about Taco due to being a situational player (pass rusher) until his Senior year --- or as many Sparty and Buckeye folks pointed out when he signed "he didn't even start until he was a Senior LoL!".   (How did that work out btw Spartans?)

"No free access, when the quarterback goes back to pass and looks out there and there's an eight-yard cushion, life can be tougher."

Thank you, Good Sir.

there is a ton of talent on that side of the ball still. I fully expect this coaching staff will coach up a top 10 defense again this year.
