Don Brown talks about defensive outlook for next year
Article by Nick Baumgardner over at Mlive. Don Brown talks about how young the defense will be next year.
Here are a couple of nice quotes
"But we're not going to change the way we make our living. If you approached our young corners and said 'hey, guys, you're not capable of playing press' -- I think they'd fight you in an alley."
"Rashan Gary's a scary human being," he said. "When you call them out to the mat (on the mat drill) they leap out at you. He's always in front of me and I think he does it on purpose, but when he leaps, it's like 'I think he may kill me.'"
Somewhere Fred Jackson is smiling.
Rashan Gary is like the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, but there are five of them.

is the five finger death punch, with a sixth finger.
They named the road after Rashan but everyone was afraid to cross it.
Rashan Gary once heard that nothing could kill him, so he tracked down nothing and killed it.
Hey, this works just as well as Chuck Norris Facts. I like this game. We could play it throughout the season.

takes only a 1/2 lick to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

The only thing that Chuck Norris fears....is Rashan Gary.
Chuck Norris is afraid of Rashan Gary.

The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodge ball Rashan Gary played in second grade.
Will certainly have his dudes ready to play next year no doubt. I really look forward to seeing Rashan have a monster year.
Go Blue!
This team will be a danger to all things living. Go Blue!
Prediction without having read the article: We will continue to solve our problems with aggression.
Rashan Scary? Yes.
Also:
I think Carlo Kemp's done a nice job. Last year at this point I may have traded him in for two used footballs.
Ouch.
If you look at his body, it's not very athletic. He as a very heavy lower body (pear shaped). Not ideal for being explosive and athletic.

Unfortunately you are pretty much completely wrong. There are exceptions though.
scouts are obssessed with Taco's muscular calves. Obviously there's something behind body type.
March 16th, 2017 at 11:17 AM ^
as I remember it when he came in to M, not his ability.
There were also concerns about Taco due to being a situational player (pass rusher) until his Senior year --- or as many Sparty and Buckeye folks pointed out when he signed "he didn't even start until he was a Senior LoL!". (How did that work out btw Spartans?)

all week on WTKA for those who do the podcast thing. Today was supposed to feature Frey and Drevno.
You need to apologize to all explosive pear-shaped individuals.
is where al the strength and explosiveness comes from. It also helps with leverage against the OL. He is shaped just fine for playing the DL.
"pear shaped"
i lol'ed
Don Brown don't sugarcoat it.

Big ouch but a helluva quote. It means a lot.
The kid is working hard and teh coaches are noticing. That's all good.
Im assuming Coach Brown knows just what to say to motivate Mr. Kemp. Shots fired. LOL
We're gonna make mistakes, but we'll make them while playing hard and fast.

"No free access, when the quarterback goes back to pass and looks out there and there's an eight-yard cushion, life can be tougher."
Thank you, Good Sir.

Those may be the worst Chuck Norris jokes I've ever heard. I'm pretty sure you broke several international humor laws.
there is a ton of talent on that side of the ball still. I fully expect this coaching staff will coach up a top 10 defense again this year.
Is Gary scary? Very.
Our adversaries will be harried when Gary catches them unwary.

They can do every cartoon and comic book under the sun in a remake blockbuster but not this one? Best show ever. Rashan Gary is He-Man.
