Dobbs question

247 lists him at 6'4"

is he considered more of a guard than tackle?

do we consider Rumler the same way as he's also 6'4"?

edit - apostrophe removed because, um, yeah

...moving Ty Wheatley Jr. to OT.  He's a TE, so he's got to be athletic.  As a freshman, he came in at 6'6" and 290 lbs., so he can I'm thinking he can carry the weight needed at OT.  He's not playing that much at TE, so we're not taking away from that position.  And maybe his best bet of playing in the NFL is as a tackle.  If blocking is the problem, could he get better fast enough for both his and the team's benefit?

Saw EMU's last game of the season last night, and guess who made his first ever start at EMU? Former Wolverine and 4-star recruit Dan Samuelson.

As far as I could tell, he only played the first series or so (I assume he started b/c it was senior day), and then occasionally went in for backup duty, as he apparently has all season.

It's weird that a 4-star recruit barely could make the field, in his 5th (or 6th?) year at 5-7 EMU, but shows how difficult identification of tops recruits is.

Was this question asked based on the assumption that tackles need to be at least 6’5” and these guys are both 6’4”?

I guess I’m not sure why that extra inch makes somebody a tackle or a guard...
