Did anyone actually see Peppers' announcement?

Submitted by Decatur Jack on

If so, how did it go down?

Did he do a fake out before picking Michigan a la Derrick Green? Did he put on a hat or was it just "I'm going to Michigan"?

As of this writing, the Oregon-Nebraska women's softball game is STILL going! AAAAAAARRRRGGHHH!!!

Is ESPNU running a replay of JP's announcement?

One of the best programs in the nation and has had more consistent success than most UofM programs over the last 25 years...

Yeah, fuck softball. We want losers here at Meeechigan. #toofewchormesones #mgoidoitalert

This must be the most attention a non-Michigan softball game ever has and ever will get here...not to mention much higher TV ratings for the game too.

At this point, it has been OVER AN HOUR since ESPNU said they would air his announcement. I don't blame Peppers for not waiting.

I don't know who to hate more: ESPNU for making the derpy decision to air a softball game so close to Peppers' announcement, or the Nebraska-Oregon game/teams for going on as long as they have. It is now 6:30, and they are still going. Peppers announcement was supposed to be at 4:45 or 5:00.

...that I am actually sitting around watching a HS kid make a decision that he's already made. But I don't feel bad in the least. #sports

Yup, the video is up on Wolverine Nation for those who have access.  FWIW I have given some criticism to his motivations in a few threads.  I would like to say that I really liked what I heard in his announcement video and talking about God, thanking people for the opprotunity to announce on ESPN, smiling and seemingly down to earth.  I like what I'm hearing.  And, he's already referencing "the team down south"!

...Academics were a HUGE priority in his committment. His finalists were widely to be considered Michigan and Stanford. He only writes "clean raps." He clearly states that football is the priority. What's the problem?

(Oh, and have you ever been in a football locker room? 50% of the guys in there think they can rap...at least a couple guys think they can SERIOUSLY. Usually 0 of them are any good or as focused as Jabrill...again, what's the problem?)

I said I liked what I heard!  Yup...been in many a college football locker room.  They're also big fans of rapping in the weight room to the music often accompanied with some awful dance moves.  Although basketball players do this even more!
