Devin White most impressive player on the field in Super Bowl

This guy is unreal.  This is not the only time he has done it, but every time i see him chase down a RB from behind while starting 5 yards behind is just incredible at his size.  His coverage is amazing.  His quickness and speed are amazing. He is tough.  He is a solid wrap-up tackler.  He can blitz.

This guy is going to be the best LB to ever play the game possibly.

And as much as i was rooting for Brady to get another ring, i have to give props to Mahomes.  He took a beating.  He never gave up and gave it his all.  Best 0 TD 2 INT performance i think i ever saw.  Couple times he was in the grass and somehow threw an off-balance dart that was catchable.  He played his ass off inspite of his 2 OT's star gazing for Orions Belt the entire game.  I think their was a stat being thrown around that someone counted up - he ran for almost 500 yards on the day evading rushes. And his receivers sure did not help him.

This post is a rambling mess, but yes White was outstanding last night. They also have Lavonte David who is a beast in his own right. Really good D, a bit lucky with drops by KC after Mahomes made several ridiculous plays, but even still an outstanding performance.

I will admit to watching basically zero NFL games this year, so I was surprised to see Tampa's defense introduced as a 2-4-5 and then surprised to see how fast their linebackers were and then shocked to see how thoroughly they dominated KC.  I hope McDonald was watching and taking notes.

I think the way the JPP and Shaq Barrett played is essentially what we are expecting the Rush LB to be in MacDonald's defense. They're both DEs who are playing standing up but are rushing the passers most of the time. They're also massively helped by the two inside DTs being Vita Vea and Ndamokung Suh who are both large humans that can demand double teams

Don't think this deserved its own thread, but White is an absolute monster and he played lights out last night. He was huge in covering Kelce and in blowing up their screen game which they desparately needed last night dealing with all that pressure on Mahomes.

Behind Mahomes ,i thought the Chiefs punter was the most nervous last night ,Mahomes looked like it was his 1st NFL start .he didnt need to start running around at the snap ,he basically ran right into the pressure all night. If Mahomes just dropped back and took a step up into the pocket he wouldve had much better success

Did you watch the game? The Bucs D blew up KC's o-line the entire night. There was no pocket to speak of.

Tampa's D was the MVP of that game. Brady took advantage of opportunities and finished drives. He only needed 200y passing in a blowout win, and Mahomes didn't even get to 100y passing until deep into the 2nd half.

I may have to get a new dog if you guys keep posting this stuff.  Our chocolate lab died in October and I have no one to talk to while working from home.  Dog was relentless in desire to go for walks in any weather.  Best walk was in torrential downpour in 34 degree weather with 6 inches of snow on the ground.

50/50 on where to look, hand or horizon.

Great post. Wish we had more like this, guys just writing balls out and not one observation but three, four, even five. Special shout out for reference to Orion's Belt.

I kind of agree.  Brady did Brady things that nobody is surprised about, but TB45 was an unreal force throughout the playoffs.  He chased down Edwards-Helaire from behind!!!  A guy that big shouldn't be able to move that fast.  I thought it was incredibly poetic that he closed it out with the INT, giving it back to the GOAT for 3 QB kneels.

White was a difference maker for sure.

I'm so glad the Lions beat GB 31-0 in a meaningless Week 17 game so we couldn't draft him. We definitely didn't need any LBs with blazing speed.
