Devin White most impressive player on the field in Super Bowl
This guy is unreal. This is not the only time he has done it, but every time i see him chase down a RB from behind while starting 5 yards behind is just incredible at his size. His coverage is amazing. His quickness and speed are amazing. He is tough. He is a solid wrap-up tackler. He can blitz.
This guy is going to be the best LB to ever play the game possibly.
And as much as i was rooting for Brady to get another ring, i have to give props to Mahomes. He took a beating. He never gave up and gave it his all. Best 0 TD 2 INT performance i think i ever saw. Couple times he was in the grass and somehow threw an off-balance dart that was catchable. He played his ass off inspite of his 2 OT's star gazing for Orions Belt the entire game. I think their was a stat being thrown around that someone counted up - he ran for almost 500 yards on the day evading rushes. And his receivers sure did not help him.

Thank you for this precious, unique, and special individual snowflake of a thought.

This was definitely texted to someone, ignored, and then posted here out of frustration.

Found a Devin Mahomes burner account...

Counterpoint: Devin White was the least impressive player on the field in the Super Bowl.
?????
February 8th, 2021 at 3:36 PM ^
Who is Devin White?
edit: (and why do I care on a Michigan blog? Maybe an "OT" or something??)
February 8th, 2021 at 4:00 PM ^
No clue, but I can say with confidence he played in the Super Bowl.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:06 PM ^
Ah, but can you? Or did you just hear he played?
February 8th, 2021 at 4:05 PM ^
Bucs' 2019 5th overall pick.
9 sacks in the regular season, caught one of the Mahomes picks yesterday.
Good young player, probably will develop into someone really good.
Current description, not so much.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:24 PM ^
He was picked a few picks ahead of Bush. I have been watching him since he joined the Bucs and the dude is a straight-up freak of an athlete. He's big, fast and has a lot of dog in him. He is going to be special no doubt.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:34 PM ^
As a Steelers fan, very sad about his injury. Hope he comes back next season ready to blow shit up on the field
February 8th, 2021 at 6:12 PM ^
Both guys another miss by the Lions
February 8th, 2021 at 9:40 PM ^
White was taken three spots ahead of Hockenson.
February 8th, 2021 at 6:20 PM ^
I thought I sensed some Cocker Spaniel.
February 8th, 2021 at 3:36 PM ^
I really hope the Lions can snag Micah Parsons
February 8th, 2021 at 3:50 PM ^
Agree. At this point i want them to get Parson if available. If not then Devonta Smith.
February 8th, 2021 at 7:42 PM ^
One of my all time favorite lines! Well placed!
February 8th, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^
This post is a rambling mess, but yes White was outstanding last night. They also have Lavonte David who is a beast in his own right. Really good D, a bit lucky with drops by KC after Mahomes made several ridiculous plays, but even still an outstanding performance.
February 8th, 2021 at 3:40 PM ^
I will admit to watching basically zero NFL games this year, so I was surprised to see Tampa's defense introduced as a 2-4-5 and then surprised to see how fast their linebackers were and then shocked to see how thoroughly they dominated KC. I hope McDonald was watching and taking notes.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:00 PM ^
I think the way the JPP and Shaq Barrett played is essentially what we are expecting the Rush LB to be in MacDonald's defense. They're both DEs who are playing standing up but are rushing the passers most of the time. They're also massively helped by the two inside DTs being Vita Vea and Ndamokung Suh who are both large humans that can demand double teams
February 8th, 2021 at 4:40 PM ^
They played great. They also played against backup offensive tackles, which may have contributed to how good they looked.
February 8th, 2021 at 3:41 PM ^
Don't think this deserved its own thread, but White is an absolute monster and he played lights out last night. He was huge in covering Kelce and in blowing up their screen game which they desparately needed last night dealing with all that pressure on Mahomes.
February 8th, 2021 at 3:47 PM ^
One of a few standout former LSU players on the field last night.
February 8th, 2021 at 3:48 PM ^
I thought the Chiefs punter was the most impressive.
February 8th, 2021 at 3:59 PM ^
Behind Mahomes ,i thought the Chiefs punter was the most nervous last night ,Mahomes looked like it was his 1st NFL start .he didnt need to start running around at the snap ,he basically ran right into the pressure all night. If Mahomes just dropped back and took a step up into the pocket he wouldve had much better success
February 8th, 2021 at 4:14 PM ^
sheesh. you can't "step up into the pocket" when your entire offensive line is getting rollerskated into your face.
February 8th, 2021 at 5:07 PM ^
He’s got the acting down in those State Farm commercials though. Rodgers too. Brady has the rings though.
February 8th, 2021 at 5:42 PM ^
Did you watch the game? The Bucs D blew up KC's o-line the entire night. There was no pocket to speak of.
Tampa's D was the MVP of that game. Brady took advantage of opportunities and finished drives. He only needed 200y passing in a blowout win, and Mahomes didn't even get to 100y passing until deep into the 2nd half.
February 8th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
Are you sure you watched the Super Bowl? From last night?
February 8th, 2021 at 6:00 PM ^
He punted better after dropping the ball

I have always wondered why dogs look at your hand when you point to something, rather than the thing you're pointing to.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:02 PM ^
my dog looks in the direction i'm pointing..... i have a dog with superior intelligence, apparently.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:47 PM ^
I have one who looks where I'm pointing and one that looks at my finger. Overall, the former is much smarter.

As a dog lover just wanted to chime in how much I love this picture. Great looking pups you have my friend.
February 8th, 2021 at 5:24 PM ^
My dog just cocks her head back and forth at me when I point at things. We still love her.

Another great looking pup!

Beagles think you have food in your hand and expect you to give the food to them.
February 8th, 2021 at 6:54 PM ^
I expect these two dogs to star in a cop-buddy movie. Clearly the guy on the right is the cynical veteran detective who has seen it all, just counting down the days until his pension, until his comfortable routine blown up by an idealistic but trouble-prone rookie on the force.
February 8th, 2021 at 8:09 PM ^
My dog always looks where I point, or even if he sees me look at something for just a second, he has to look too. It can be really annoying, honestly. But he's my buddy, sleeping in my office with me right now.

Double post, sorry. I have two beagles so it makes sense.

I may have to get a new dog if you guys keep posting this stuff. Our chocolate lab died in October and I have no one to talk to while working from home. Dog was relentless in desire to go for walks in any weather. Best walk was in torrential downpour in 34 degree weather with 6 inches of snow on the ground.
50/50 on where to look, hand or horizon.
February 8th, 2021 at 8:11 PM ^
Sorry man. I dread that day.
February 9th, 2021 at 7:45 AM ^
Short lifespan is the only bad things about dogs. In my experience, the only thing to do is to indulge in a new dog. We went two years after our lab died at 14. We are now two years into our monstrous new puppy and can't imagine why we didn't do it earlier. But it is hard.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:05 PM ^
Great post. Wish we had more like this, guys just writing balls out and not one observation but three, four, even five. Special shout out for reference to Orion's Belt.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:12 PM ^
I kind of agree. Brady did Brady things that nobody is surprised about, but TB45 was an unreal force throughout the playoffs. He chased down Edwards-Helaire from behind!!! A guy that big shouldn't be able to move that fast. I thought it was incredibly poetic that he closed it out with the INT, giving it back to the GOAT for 3 QB kneels.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:21 PM ^
White was a difference maker for sure.
I'm so glad the Lions beat GB 31-0 in a meaningless Week 17 game so we couldn't draft him. We definitely didn't need any LBs with blazing speed.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:45 PM ^
What makes you think the lions would of done the right thing and picked him?!
February 8th, 2021 at 4:44 PM ^
Best linebacker to ever play the game? Please. Let’s see about ten more years of excelling at his job before we even entertain that question.
