My favorite comment “Fick would walk to Columbus for the job.”

lol, where have I heard that before?  Would love to see Fickell at OSU again after wins in 2023/2024 over Day.

I love Buckeye tears and have been listening to various reaction podcasts and they are losing their shit. The Buckeye Talk podcast suggested removing all the memorabilia in The Woody Hayes Building, the trophies and historical stuff until OSU earns it back by beating TTUN

I literally read every single comment in the thread about us planting the flag on the O. Could not stop reading. For the short version: we have no class but they are soft for not starting a fight with us to defend their field when we did that. Love that Buckeye logic. Top notch entertainment right here friends: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/the-game-2022/2022/11/135323/michigan-plants-team-flag-on-the-block-o-at-midfield-of-ohio-stadium-following-the-wolverines-45-23#comments

Woah. The one regarding the rivalry: “nothing is more important. This isn’t a game, this isn’t entertainment. The next year is darkness and misery in Ohio.”

rivalry aside, I actually feel bad for these people. Their well-being in life for an entire year rides on the result of one game in which they have nothing to do with.

I think people give Fickell too much shit for that 2011 season. While that team had a lot of talent, some of the best of it did not play for most of the season (e.g., Devier Posey, who had a couple touchdowns against Michigan).

Most importantly, Terrelle Pryor did not play at all in what would have been his senior year, and Pryor was left with Joe Bauserman, who really should have never seen the field, and freshman Braxton Miller.

I think his biggest mistake was not starting Braxton Miller earlier. More experience would have helped that offense later in the year and his running ability might have won a few of the early games they lost with the ineffective Bauserman.

Having said that, we'll see how good Fickell actually is. I'm not convinced he would be the home run hire that fans of some programs think, but odds are fair that he does a good job for the Badgers.

Right!?

It's relatively easy to have an undefeated season at Cincinnati, especially when Notre Dame is on your schedule. That's why so many coaches have done it, no?

Geez, I don't know what it is about the posters here who have to say every coach everywhere else sucks. Give the guy credit -- he's obviously done an outstanding job at Cincinnati.

Does that mean he's going to do the same thing at Wisconsin? Nope. There are very few guarantees in life, except that the Wolverine's best offensive player will get seriously injured right before the Ohio State game. But damn, we can't say "he's done a fantastic job at Cincinnati?" CINCINNATI?
