This article from CBSsports.com has enough fluff, predictions and a few Michigan tidbits that we can all enjoy and escape a little bit from the basketball drama that whirls around us.
A few Michigan things:
- Michigan predicted to beat OSU. Yeah, way too early and I too will believe it when I see it. But positive thinking and predictions are good.
- Michigan tied with Oklahoma for 5th best odds to win the NC at 14/1
- Shea Patterson mentioned as a Heisman contender, albeit at the bottom of their list.
Anyways, football! Speed in Space! It's all coming sooner than we think!
It will be interesting to compare the fan reactions when we lose to Army vs. when we hire a terrible basketball coach. Michigan sports!
Both might happen on the same day.

Football needs to stop getting kicked in the nuts now that Beilein is gone. We always had basketball as a security blanket, but now it looks like we need an OSU win and a Big Ten title to keep us warm through this winter

Basketball has been a nice diversion but I wouldn't call it a security blanket. I never felt better about losing to OSU just because our MBB Team was good. It was just nice to have a positive distraction in which I could pour my Michigan fandom.
However, I agree that nearly everyone on the board would gladly sacrifice MBB success to return to the level of success the FB team had when playing OSU coached by John Cooper, let alone playoff bids and NC wins.
Not this guy. Michigan basketball is what made me a fan as a 5 year old kid. Michigan hoops will always be my favorite team over everything else.
I fall out of your nearly everyone category, but I know I'm in the vast minority.
I have forgotten what it feels like to 1) beat a good OSU team and 2) win a conference title. I'm so numb to losing to OSU and not winning the title these days.
Any more information on the commit watch from the other day? Justin Rogers is committing this weekend but it seems incredibly unlikely it's him. Anyone seen any solid intel there?
Tea leaves suggest a recently visited east coast OL. My guess is Olu Fashanu.
One of the 247 guys (I forget who) said the commit will be announced today.
Sam mentioned it wasn't Olu on WTKA this morning, as he had updated on his recruiting roundup that included Olu and then mentioned the commit wasn't either of the guys he talked about on the roundup

Olu was a guess given recently visited tackle/Nelson just dropped elsewhere/M coach Twitter sounds like a guy on offense.
Zinter recently got a good guys CB from Loy FWIW.
