Coordinator pressers

Both coordinators had pressers last week. Back in the day, this blog used to publish transcripts. And I enjoyed the comments. Guess that’s not happening anymore as I haven’t seen them yet. Anyone know why?

Yes, I could type them myself. And I could wander around the football complex and develop connections within the program and dig for insider chatter. I could analyze film and breakdown recruiting and post it for you to read. I could preview upcoming matchups and research our opponents. I could hire a staff to assist me with this endeavor and cover all of the bases at once and aggregate them in one convenient easy-to-navigate website which I would in turn monetize to cover my costs.

But I'm a fucking patron.

I both miss, and don't miss, the transcripts.  They relayed some good stuff, but had to be a LOT of work for mostly fluff content.  Content you can get almost anywhere.  I think I actually prefer Seth's updates now, with a bit of presser and a bit of insider stuff combined together.  That gives a little more context behind what's being said, and why.

While the content does seem to be less in quantity, it feels more substantial in quality.  Maybe that's just me?

I prefer the camp updates that Seth has put out.  Those have the relevant presser info in them and they compile info from multiple sources.  Transcribing the press conferences honestly doesn't give us as much as the updates.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for MGoBlog but I must satisfy my thirst for ALLLLLLL the content.   Any opinions on Maizenbrew or GBMWolverine?

I swear there was a conversation with Brian et al here last year where they were like "do you really want the transcript or do you want more content" and we were like "we can watch the video, give us the contents".

Am I the only one who remembers this?

Insatiable wolverine junkies that many of us are, I am sure that the most of us give a first priority visit to MGOBLOG everyday to fill their wants, yearns, and voids of all UM sports.

If would be satisfying if the degree and frequency by which each carries out this hunt matches and in harmony with the feeding time, type, and amount by which MGOBLOG staffers nurture us. Some may find it never fills their want no matter the pours, and some may find it is just right, or too much! I think because of many years of the frustrating results that failed to meet our high expectation, and with the already way too much hype about the team already by the media and others, we are getting a bit antsy trying to find out anything, I mean anything, to validate the expectation and to calm our nerves and desires.

My personal experience is that, for whatever the reasons (others mentioned Brian's family obligation, Ace's situation and gone forever Heiko, etc..) , the nurturing has been a bit less than previous years. Not everyone is patient and values the quality over quantity (may be even more so for Mil. and Gen Z folks).  A right balance in the nurturing of the quality, frequency and variety to meet the diverse mgoblog fans would be something I would suggest to Brin's gang if it is allowed...as too frequent looking around and wondering can lead to a gone too far yonder entity.

I spend a lot less time on here than I used to. I agree with the OPs point and further more it seems like most of the board consists of trolls, people complaining about trolls, then some of those complainers starting threads about said trolls
