Michigan will reportedly hold the satellite camp in American Samoa on June 1st and on June 30th. They will also hold a camp in Hawaii at the end of June.

*  Additionally, while most of the locations are obvious there are a few that are not so I compared that against our offer list and came up with a couple "to watch" prospects:

Tarik Black            WR 4*  Cheshire, CT

Trevor Kent          SDE 3*  Pittsburg, KS

Cam Akers           RB   5*  Pearl, MS

Jacoby Stevens   ATH 5*  Murfressboro, TN

Nagee Harris       RB    5*  Antioch, CA

Canceled- Huntville, AL^

Kendall Randolp  OT 4*

LaBryan Ray        SSDE 4*

Logan Rudolf       WDE  4*

^ Huntville is about 2 hours from TN camp and 3.5 hours from Atlanta (so still close enough to attend if they want)

At the end of the day, this is more about PR, and every school is reacting to Michigan and every kid thinks Michigan is setting a trend.

“It’s about publicity, it’s about branding, and it’s about Jim Harbaugh now being on the tips of every kid’s tongue across the country. It’s daily publicity for Michigan.”

“I think he’s really creative, and I give him a ton of credit,” Scout.com national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn said in a phone interview. “He has the financial backing to be able to do all that stuff. There’s not many programs who can do this.

Remember when we were all complaining that Michigan is sitting on this huge boatload of cash but is not figuring out any way to use it as a (legal) competitive advantage?

Harbaugh has our answer.

unbelievable.....     get a scholarship...  or can tuna.      Dudes literally fighting for their futures.   And they are massive on top of it all.     My biggest complaint used to be when the practice field had dried grass that used to get into my jock.     These dudes are dodging lava rocks....

respect here. Of course the ban slowed him down, but when it was lifted I think, because it's nothing other than his nature, to probably add a few he hadn't even thought about for a FU to those that had forced a change in his plans. And yes, it's exactly for the reasons most think. He has stated he wants to get UM back and do so as fast as possible. He doesn't hide this. He also doesn't hide what he feels is an obligation to promote this sport and grant access as far and wide as possible. If his plans were remotely close to what his loudest detractors claim -and they have to be loud, they're losing credibility fast - he simply couldn't approach it the  way he does, inviting everyone to, as he says, "let's go coach em up."

And it's obvious that even Jim doesn't plan on  working this hard every year. When we're back at the level where the machine is feeding itself, he might visit a few each year, on a rotating basis.  But what is obvious is his early work is paying off for both UM football and there are a lot of h.s. coaches and players who fully understand and they're thankful. I think the rules will be altered so that is why he is hitting as many as he can this year and, as stated, this workload, is temporary imo.

Saddest part about this whole fiasco was it allowed us  to see just how out of touch not only certain cfb fans are but their leaders as well. They really do not understand. Depending on which  evaluator you're reading, a player like Collins, either Bama's best or second best h.s. prospect should expect invites and his h.s. coaches should encourage him  to "see what's out  there,."  Obvioulsy all young people should be encouraged to experience as much as you can, but the fans, almost completely, and the players to a degree, thinking they're obligated to a school because its situated within the boundariers of their state is about as 1940 as you can get. . Thinking a uniersity is different because it has plans for you after graduation is actually cause for concern.

Harbaugh knows, we know and because we know why he does what he does and is, no doubt, why he has some of the best young minds in the game on his staff, Just like to extend a thanks to all involved -can only imagine how tough it is - for being willing to do the right thing.

I have a question about these camps, I know the kids pay a fee to attend the camps, at the end do the camps essentially break even or is there a good chunk of money that goes to these high school teams that can be used for their program moving forward?
