I am betting on the team staying at the Nikelodean Hotel with frequent dinners at Midevil Times. Coach Harbugh will serve the team shirtless, riding a horse, and wielding a large mase.

I could dig up this information based on the last time the team went to the Citrus Bowl/Capital One Bowl, because I played with the Fanfare Band at an event at the team hotel, and these things tend to be the same... But I won't.

The team hotel is usually the team, family, possibly some Alumni Association folks, university officials, etc. etc. Of course, you could probably get a room in there, but if you're expecting to be rubbing shoulders with Harbaugh and Rudock and Chesson... Good luck. And why would you? The best you'll get is seeing people in the lobby or sharing an elevator. And that shit is weird if you're fanboying it.

The team is on a business trip. They treat it like that, even with all the trappings of a bowl game. Respect it.

Like the team hotel is some kind of classified info? Lol. It will be widely published. Plus you don't have to be a stalker (or ISIS) to want to know where UM fans will congregate before and after the games.  At the Sugar Bowl in 2012, the team hotel lobby was a blast and a central place to meet for everyone, even those not staying there.

I stayed at the team hotel in Utah. It's no big deal. Players wander around and did not seem bothered by people as far as I could tell. They even practiced outside the hotel and people were free to watch. I believe there were some pics from this on this site. It was great to talk to Jim Hackett for about 10 minutes and he was pretty cool. I did mention that I hope he stayed.

The people who tweet recruits are those who are between the ages of 13 and 18, and /or have nothing better to do. Put another way, neither segment will be choosing or can afford to stay where the team is. Te rest of us can hand,e it man.

It might be a little odd if you are staying with your buddy and trying to rub elbows and get autographs or something. My Dad got rooms at the team hotel when we were kids for the Rose Bowl in '90 and my brother and I kind of mingled around and gawked at a distance as wide eyed kids. I remember my Dad being really cool for doing this.

MSU announced the team hotel last year and both the team and fans stayed at the same place.   Thought it was cool.   Did a few really nice events together.

Dallas Cowboys do the same thing so their fans can come to the hotel.

Exactly. This is not unusual. A lot of it is for the atmosphere and plus, a lot of people would rather not be bothered by the other team's fans. Would you rather be on the floor with a bunch of gator fans or in with Michigan fans?

I went to citrus bowl in 1999, team stayed at Peabody. I wanted to hang around hotel and watch for players, but I was a young teen, so not, you know, a stalker.
There was a pep-rally on the roof, Reggie Mackenzie spoke and marching band made the roof shake.
Hotel is worth the stay just to see the ducks march in and out every day.

I have stayed at the team hotel many times, most times by accident. It was special. It's no different than going to class with these kids. Yeah they play football but first they are socialized humans unlike most of you apparently. Do yourselves a favor: go outside and look at the sun. It's the big thing that is brightest in the sky. During the day. Do go to or stay at the team hotel if possible. Wolverines like to be in the company of other Wolverines. Go Blue. See you in Orlando.

with you! I have been an outsider looking in since the RR era here and just recently started posting. I have notice that most threads start out well, then 3/4ths of the replies begin to be negative. Not sure we are on the same team anymore. Lots of D Bags in here. Reminds me of 11 Warriors.

I would think the Athletic Department would give you that info assuming your explanation is as reasonable as I would think it is. I would do the same if I was going to the game.

Come on guys he's not being creepy. He wants to be part of the action.  It's sad how jaded our society has become.

I suggest to the OP that he call the AD tomorrow.

Do me a favor and walk as far away from the team hotel as possible and shout Wallah ISIS in public

During the offseason, I can't wait for football to start so dumb threads dry up. Then football season starts, and the dumb football threads make me wish football season would end. Then it's bowl season and recruiting season, and the dumb threads just keep on coming

There are obviously "a ton" of negative posters on this blog. Ignore them. It was a fair question. I booked my room last night not even thinking about the Marriot where they will most likely stay according to some.

It's a fair question, especially if you have kids.

I remember being a kid on vacation and seeing the 85 Bears come into our hotel. I still remember how cool it was seeing them come into the hotel, in the game room and looking to my left and realizing that I was playing video games next to Walter Payton, riding in the elevators with the players, etc. I was too nervous as a kid to say anything. Still one of the coolest childhood memories I have.

It seems like you can't do anything these day's without someone saying that you are weird or creepy.

All I want to do is live in a van filled with candy. Is that too much to ask?
