Nice - lots of RB talent. I am personally most excited to see Chris Evans again.
October 3rd, 2020 at 2:02 PM ^
That's pretty surprising. I thought for sure he'd be in the portal by now. Put in the work and see what you can do!

See if Nico wants to play bass. And maybe Ambry can do keyboards?
October 3rd, 2020 at 2:10 PM ^
Can he play cb or dt?
October 3rd, 2020 at 2:12 PM ^
That would be crazy to out someone from the backfield in the DT position. Oops.

Let's give MaizeBlueA2 a little credit for posting the Turner news 5 days ago in his depth chart thread.

Fair enough.
+1 credit > MaizeBlueA2
Don't spend it all in one place.

Crowded RB room
October 3rd, 2020 at 6:00 PM ^
Maverick's reengaging sir!
October 3rd, 2020 at 2:19 PM ^
Good for him. Going to be a crowded backfield.
October 3rd, 2020 at 2:26 PM ^
Neat. ?
October 3rd, 2020 at 2:51 PM ^
Any hope still left for Nico? I haven’t seen anything from him saying he definitely isn’t coming back.
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:01 PM ^
I don’t think we should have any hope for Nico. He gone. Idk why he hasn’t announced his goodbye tho..
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:26 PM ^
He did announce his goodbye a long time ago.
October 3rd, 2020 at 6:28 PM ^
Slim to none. I still don’t know how to process him leaving while sure fire high NFL draft picks in Bateman and Moore both return. I guess I’ll Just throw it on to the pile of “just UM things”

I really liked his potential if he can hold on to the ball.
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:11 PM ^
Good news. While I didn't — and wouldn't — criticize him for opting out, I'm glad he's back.
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:23 PM ^
Interesting. Lots of RBs now. Depth is always a good thing
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:26 PM ^
Beat me to it. Depth has a way of sorting itself out. Especially during this COVID thing.
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:31 PM ^
Excellent. Let's bring back the wishbone formation.
October 3rd, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
Wonder if we will see some of these RBs lining up as wideouts this year. With a lot of bodies in the room to get carries I could see more passes to RBs and having them do some formation stuff with slots swapping back to the backfield. A lot of speed and talent at RB. Hope we find ways to use it all

Am curious, is it too late to enter the portal ? Could this be his goal ?
October 3rd, 2020 at 4:26 PM ^
Players can enter the portal whenever they want to. Actually transferring mid-semester is another story. McCaffrey is in the portal now, but he won't leave for another school until he finishes his classes.
October 3rd, 2020 at 5:10 PM ^
Yeah I don't really understand going into the portal right now for someone who doesnt want to opt out. You wont be on a new team for this season. So instead of live practices against actual football players you're just working out somewhere. McCaffrey had a chance to play this season. Milton could struggle, get hurt, get sick, or maybe lose his position once pads come on. McCaffrey's superior athleticism likely would have gotten him some offensive packages even if he wasnt starting.
Even if Turner never really sees the field this year and doesnt want to stick around hell be better prepared to transfer to a new team in '21 by being on this seasons active roster.

Michigan seems to be really stacked at RB. Let's hope the new OL can road-grader opponents.
October 3rd, 2020 at 6:22 PM ^
Can he play corner?
October 3rd, 2020 at 7:52 PM ^
Lots of potentially good running backs on the team (to my mind none of them have proven to be excellent yet in a Michigan uniform). It will be interesting to see if Gattis/Harbaugh can find ways to use more than 2 or 3 if they develop into really good backs.

Can he help us beat OSU? That's all that matters. We haven't been competitive with them since I was a Freshman 13 years ago...
October 3rd, 2020 at 10:13 PM ^
We haven’t been competitive with OSU in 13 years? What in the actual fuck are you talking about? Win in 2011, close and certainly competitive just about every year since except 2015, 18 and 19.
October 3rd, 2020 at 9:51 PM ^
This is great news. Turner is immensely talented and could be the lightning to a group that’s mostly thunder. I wish him the best and hope he carves out a role this season.

Will Evans be eligible next year? Or what is exactly the rule about eligibility this year...
