Eubanks and Nordin left
Nordin will not be drafted. Especially him being a "head case".
Also ends the drought on Michigan RB drafted since Hart
...ben mason. lol.
Holy cow. Holy cow. That's nuts. This is telling... one aspect of the way back is to recruit much better at rb.
Should be a good player for Cincy. Hopefully he can showcase his pass catching skills.
He has to go to Cincinnati? Is he still being punished for cheating?
The Bengals will be a joke of cosmic proportions, because this is what the sports gods want, but the offense could still be good. This has been the case before.
Chris came to my son’s birthday party as a surprise several years ago, cementing Indy Matt’s loyalty to Michigan for the rest of his life. Chris overcame a lot of adversity to accomplish this goal. He has also poured into the next generation, and he deserves this incredible accomplishment. Best of luck to a fine young man with a bright future!
Couldn't agree more Indy Pete?
Best of luck to Chris and hope he has a successful career.
He could be a very nice fit with Burrow. I'm really glad to see this. He always seemed like a good guy who simply made a bad mistake.
This is a great opportunity for him. After Mixon they don’t have much and Mixon has a hard time staying healthy.
He could settle right in to the spot that Gio Bernard occupied. I like this pick for both Evans and Cincinnati.
I'd like to see a list of 3rd-day pics by team the past few years. I've wondered before if, all other things equal, NFL teams like to pick players from teams with NFL coaches (or from programs run a certain way).
To the main point, good for Evans. He seems like a nice guy.
I'm really pleased for him
Took his punishment and kept working
Michigan guys getting drafted all over the place. Why don't they win more? They are getting and developing talent. Then they go out and get crushed by Indiana. Buh.
An NFL talent right in front of Jay Harbaugh, and he used him very little.
I see Ezekiel is back. I could tell from the comment before I checked the name. Zeke, your best year was 2014. Urban didn’t use you to good effect at MSU in 2015. It happens.
People complained they rotated RBs too much. Jay doesn't determine the rotation anyway and he doesn't call plays.
Nobody complained about rotating backs, it was the times they rotated them. One back would break off a big run then he would never be seen again for another quarter.
So the first RB Harbaugh has gotten drafted since he's been here and he didnt even start...makes perfect sense to me.
You know, that's a good way to put it.
Jim Harbaugh still can't find it in himself to get Jay Harbaugh off the coaching staff. Now Jay Harbaugh is coaching TEs. It's going to be Luke Shoonmaker that won't get enough playing time, because Jay Harbaugh can't recognise talent, like he didn't recognise what he had in Chris Evans. I mean, couldn't he see what he had even when seeing how great Evans would play against Ohio St?
If you're not using your players right then they're not gonna play well. Slamming Chris Evans up the middle never made sense, thats not what he's good at.
He had 5 catches against OSU in 2017. Seems like he could have been used in more RB passes...but we never saw it much.
The running back group is so loaded that "NFL talent" like Evans and Zach Charbonnet couldn't get enough carries and you're going to dog Jay Harbaugh for that. Ridiculous.
Lions continue their tradition of refusing to draft Michigan players—they passed Evans up in favor of some who-dat from Oregon St. Good for Chris.
I drove my boys up from South Carolina to see the Minnesota game in which Evans ran wild. We loved watching him play and have been sorry to see that he never reached his enormous potential at Michigan (as so often happens). Thrilled for him to get this chance in the League. I would count on him to make the roster.
One of the bigger “what could have been” players over the last decade or two for me
