Because all options are on the table, allow me to throw a name into the fold: Becky Hammon.

Hear me out - this isn't as far-fetched an idea as you think.

1. She's a hall-of-fame player at both the collegiate and professional levels.

2. She's been under the tutelage of one of the best coaches in NBA history.

3. She's coached some of the best players in NBA history.

4. She's been in the discussion for a head coaching position ever since she wrapped up her first year under Pop.

5. Her hiring would be in line with Michigan being a university that historically prides itself on equality and progress.

Fight me.

Let someone else test the waters for gender equality.  Michigan is at a point where stability in its basketball program is essential.  Hire a female assistant but not a head coach.

If she was a man you wouldn’t even know who she was... You’re just trying to be a typical Ann Arbor nut job.

If she is good and ready I have no problem with it, but for her sake, girls' sake, and the programs' sake, let's not do this to be ground breaking and then need to fire her in a few years. If she's ready, O let do it!

I think she would be atrocious at recruiting. Whether it gets you mad or not I don't think shed be a big draw for top high school athletes to come to Michigan. Guys connect with guys when it comes to sports

You think kids like Jalen Wilson are going to risk their potential NBA career on hoping the gender equality coaching hype surrounding Hammon is legit? Naw
