He could have gotten a lot more on the open market with a healthy and productive upcoming season.  But I get the move with his injury history and not to mention the Nets are primed to be really good in a year.

I know that sports salaries have gone insane over the past decade plus, but the guy just guaranteed himself over FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS over only three years. Plus what he has already made to date. And, he will then enter free agency if he chooses at 28 - literally at the peek of his prime (age-wise). There is zero downside and this was a no-brained decision on his part, especially considering his bad injury history.

Fantasitic Caris! I don't think any of us saw this coming when he signed his LOI. What did he weigh back then? 160 lbs?

Read the article. I note that Spencer Dinwiddie is listed in the core five of a Brooklyn team that may be the best in the east. Stan Van Gundy is the anti-Beilein, he couldn't develop a player even if handed Michael Jordan.
