Can we get an actual moderator for this board?
Someone who is on the board a couple times a day to clean up the opposing fan garbage, where there’s a Discord channel to hang out in so if the moderator needs to be notified of something they can be contacted / receive a push notification because this its almost the year two thousand and twenty and it’s not that hard to do this?

I think the mods do a great job. There will always be trolls. Just ignore them. “Don’t feed the trolls”

Definitely. It just makes things worse. If there's a troll just downvote and move on. Who gives a shit? But then 10 people will reply and get into a flame war with one troll and it ruins the thread. One of the few good things that resulted from the new site is being able to collapse comments.

They nuked the UMBig burner account thread pretty quickly. We would hate to upset such a "valuable insider" to a point of him yelling at the clouds calling everyone a pussy.

The board is a cesspool. Every year I swear it off, and am usually good about staying only on front page content, except until just before the OSU game and during bowl season when I find myself slower at work and in need of things to occupy my time.
From the constant belittling of other institutions for reasons having nothing to do sports (see the University of Phoenix thread title last night - guess what some people go there for valid reasons and some may be Michigan, maybe try not alienating them?), to anyone not praising Harbaugh 24/7 being a “troll,” to the constant negativity, to the people stuck in the 70s and 80s, and 90s, and to say nothing of the constant, pedantic user-moderation (“this should be OT!!!”), there’s very little in the way of redeemable value on this message board. Any good or informative poster is more or less gone. I get it generates clicks and revenue, but man I wouldn’t be upset if it were cratered.

No you can't, people ask and ask and you get crickets. This is a blog to promote Brian the audio blog star. The message board is just an old part that is kept because many visitors to this blog would stop frequenting ig they realized the content is updated about 1 article a day (not a shot at the quality but the quantity is weak). Then you wouldn't get nearly as many repeat daily visits if people discovered you could come on twice a week for 10 minutes and be up to date.
So continue to self police friends!

A couple times a day? There could be someone here in real time, putting not just antagonists in line, but there's way too much vulgarity on here. It's easy to snip partial comments. It only takes one person. I've seen it done by one person on blogs that are busier than this. The Brian person, that I have seen some here talk about, could do it single handedly. But I've seen enough of this place to see there is no desire to maintain things.

Well, this blog is far from ideal. Though I still feel it's better than the Mlive free Michigan Wolverines comment sections.
I mean, their UM sections are basically Michigan, MSU and OSU fans just talking smack back and forth. They squeeze in a little bit of Michigan sports talk between all of the troll conversations.
Some of the UM websites that require a subscription are better than MgoBlog, but it's not free.
