I have no real idea of the situation other than the video.  What time was it?  Where was it?  Where do the occupants of the car live?  Why did the police pull them over?  What information did the police have at the time of the traffic stop?  How were the car's occupants responding to the police? Did their behavior give the police any reason to be concerned?

Almost no one here shows any empathy for the police, what the police have to deal with on a daily basis, or how they're trained to respond to certain situations.  That's unfortunate.

I have had maybe a 7-10 interactions with the police, mostly while driving, and one where I asked for their assistance.  They were not especially friendly, nor rude.  In each case, I saw them as mostly "doing their job".  Just anecdotal, like all the comments here.  I expect to get negged from this group.  Don't care.

Watching this video I got pissed when the cop said he was being arrested for speeding.   Speeding is a civil infraction.    People don't get arrested for speeding.
