BTT: Northwestern vs. Rutgers
31-0 run jesus. Gives me flashbacks of when something similar happened to us last year.. or was it 2 years ago?
I don't know what you're talking about. Nothing like that EVER happened to us
Maybe I'm confusing it for a scoring drought then during the 16-16 season...
Indiana went on a 28-0 run against us last year when we lost to them at home.
I wonder if any Rutgers players will talk about having Northwestern right where they want them as they walk to the locker room.
That was a 34-2 start for Duke, right after we lost to Oakland. I believe that was the last year of the Ellerbe debacle.
The Duke student section started chanting "We Want Oakland!" during the middle of that fiasco.
The Amaker era was only slightly better.
There was a Duke game where we fell behind 34-2 IIRC. i think it was under Ellerbe.
In December 1993, with a team that made the Elite Eight, they started off in a 25-4 hole in Crisler. They battled back to lose by two.
Much better game...
always my second favorite team behind the wolverines.
I can't believe that's a real logo for a university. Looks like a 4th grader drew it on MS paint

Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. Northwestern hasn't always invested an awful lot of resources in its athletics program. :-)

That's part of the charm, somehow.
Rutgers basketball, summarized:
Dakich says, "Big shot..." and it's an airball like three feet wide.
In other news, we're now #24 on KenPom, which I believe is our highest ranking in this calendar year (we were probably higher in November, I forget).
We're up to #5 in offensive efficiency and #80 in defense. Our biggest weakness is "luck" (#304 nationally).
Team #305 must've gotten into two plane crashes

that one might have been "too soon"
But I gave you a +1

Michigan reached #15 by the time they played South Carolina (coming off of the SMU win). Of course, there's a lot more data feeding the system than there was then. :-)
#24 is the highest rating since that game (at least, on a game day -- I don't know of a way to find historical information for non game days).
We were top 20 early in the season, but this is definitely the highest we've been since then.

As her son, Charlie Hall, a walk-on, gets to play in a tournament game. Hope Brian was watching, given his excitement at her attending the Michigan-Northwestern game. :)
