Really though, that's surprising after the line from him about how "If they come out and just pound that ball, I'm going to have to think about some things." Great to hear though.

The reasoning for this is the coaching staff let him know in no uncertain terms the spot was his, but if he took visits then they too would be open to recruiting people for his spot in the class.
I love it- they're not messing around and have the attitude we need to have.
I think that move by the coaches is badass. If a player thinks they can do better than UM, they need to know that we can do the same. I don't want them to feel unappreciated, but sometimes these recruits get big heads, and it doesn't hurt to bring them down a bit. Nice work coaches.
