Bring Mike Hart Home!!
Right along with Nick Sheridan and Tom Allen.
Allen has two QB's starting in the B1G -- who is the QB whisperer? The guy is spinning gold out of straw. He would be affordable and knows the turf.
And have you seen his motivational speeches. A bit crazy but entertaining as hell.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:14 PM ^
I have been wanting Hart on our staff for the last few years. I like him for our next head coach.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:20 PM ^
Why on earth would you hire the running backs coach at a mid tier school to be your head coach? There are so many better options. Go grab Manny Diaz or Joe Brady or Brent Venables or literally anyone else. Almost anyone you pick would be more qualified.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:21 PM ^
I didn't say as HC -- that would be Allen.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:12 PM ^
He was responding to blue Gary.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:22 PM ^
Why? Because he beat a few shitty big ten teams in michigan, psu, and msu?
November 14th, 2020 at 2:35 PM ^
He's doing a lot more with less which is a good sign. Allen has had UM on the ropes just about every year before putting the hammer down last week.
He does more with less (something nobody will ever accuse Jimmah of doing).
November 14th, 2020 at 2:38 PM ^
Recency bias is a motherfuc*er. Guy beats Michigan once and has never beaten OSU and all of a sudden he is a god.
Makes as much sense as voting for reality tv person for president.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:49 PM ^
You know what’s not recency bias? Hokebaugh consistently disappointing.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:31 PM ^
His teams have consistently looked better coached than Harbaugh's to me.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:43 PM ^
He's doing fine playing up the underdog mentality (similar to Dantonio), but how would he do at Michigan when everyone expects the team to win 10 or 11 games every year?
November 14th, 2020 at 2:52 PM ^
Baby steps?
I'd be happy with 9 at this point.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:13 PM ^
Remember when PJ Fleck was hot?
November 14th, 2020 at 4:43 PM ^
Not really. He’s dapper, but the baldness was never attractive.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:41 PM ^
I am a fan of Tom Allen even though he is slightly unhinged at times..... but that is just what UM needs. He does more with less than most coaches imo. Mike Hart and Nick should come as well.
But why would Allen come here?
The guy makes 4 Million per year with sooo much less pressure to win at Indiana.
He doesn't HAVE to beat OSU to be successful at Indiana.
Michigan's expectations are so sky high.
Please consider it Tom Allen but I wouldn't do it. 4 Million is a VERY comfortable life.
8-4, 9-3 is perfectly fine at IU.... not at UM.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:48 PM ^
A smart post for once. You hit the nail on the head. At IU there is more pressure on the basketball HC than will ever be on the football HC. They went YEAR without beating OSU and just beat UM. They came close but so have we when it came to OSU.
Fuck osu. Every momentum turning season we have had, i.e. 2006/2016 just serves us such a mental blow.
November 14th, 2020 at 4:01 PM ^
It's been perfectly fine for JH.
November 14th, 2020 at 5:40 PM ^
$4M/year goes a loooonnng way in Bloomington, Indiana.
November 14th, 2020 at 5:58 PM ^
$4M per year goes a long way anywhere
November 14th, 2020 at 2:41 PM ^
I wish we could be good at football. That would be fun.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:45 PM ^
Why would I want to be 3-0 going on 4-0, when I can sit at 1-2 and soon to be 1-3. Embarrassed by my rival. Lackluster play in the field. Naw. Nobody has it better than us. Nobody.
November 14th, 2020 at 2:48 PM ^
Mike hart is my all time favorite wolverine. People have been doubting him since his hs days. He's no stranger to hard work. I fully expect to see him back on the M sidelines some day. And he will have earned it on merit
Keep grinding
November 14th, 2020 at 2:56 PM ^
How can you not like Tom Allen? He has to be the guy.. Passion and understanding of the game is top tier. Assistants Hart and Sheridan would be dream team assistants and waiting in the wings. Youth and passion!! I'll say it, Tom Allen has the "Enthusiasm unkown to mankind". Something Harbaugh lost in 2016.. Carousel is moving for Allen has to be at top of the list..
November 14th, 2020 at 2:56 PM ^
If Jim stays Jay, one of the teams best recruiters, stays unless he gets a promotion elsewhere
November 14th, 2020 at 2:59 PM ^
Yes, no brainer!
November 14th, 2020 at 3:02 PM ^
Nebraska sucks. Anyone else watching this?
November 14th, 2020 at 3:07 PM ^
Nope!
What I meant was if Nebraska was a lady she'd be a prostitute that pays you to do whatever weird shit they do in Nebraska
November 14th, 2020 at 3:21 PM ^
Could Michigan beat Nebraska? Michigan looks like the worst team in the East. Including PSU.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
Well, Penn St is 0-4. I'll let you guys get back to clutching your pearls.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:34 PM ^
Gives me hope we can beat State Pen. Not real confident there is much more football left in our future given CV, though.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:06 PM ^
Bring
Deez
Nutz
November 14th, 2020 at 3:28 PM ^
Great. Another Michigan Man who wouldn’t let us move beyond our past.
We’ve already tried one prodigal son. I don’t need to try another.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:35 PM ^
Hart would take a lateral to be UM's RB's coach.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
How the fuck do you know what Bike Hart would do?
November 14th, 2020 at 4:30 PM ^
You sure about that? Hart and Harbaugh have a little bit of history, and Hart has explicitly stated he wishes Harbaugh was never associated with the University. Granted, maybe it’s water under the bridge at this point, but you have no way of knowing whether or not the guy would actually be willing to come here.
Either way, I feel like the last thing we need is some other alum in here who won’t let Michigan move on from its past. Plus, if I’m Hart, I’m not really sure I want to take a chance on coming to Michigan right at this point. It’s clear that the current staff trajectory is on a sharp downward slope, while my career is on an upward trajectory in the coaching ranks. Why would I jeopardize that at this point by associating myself with a ship that is clearly thinking?
November 14th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
My tongue-in-cheek premise was that Jimmah is out and Allen is in.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:51 PM ^
Then bring Tony Annese to AA
November 14th, 2020 at 5:03 PM ^
As an FSU alum, I approve/disapprove this message.
November 14th, 2020 at 3:51 PM ^
Hart has more heart than any coach on this staff.
November 14th, 2020 at 4:43 PM ^
Pass on Hart, at least right now.
November 14th, 2020 at 5:05 PM ^
Tom Allen is a dick and would fail at UM
November 14th, 2020 at 5:34 PM ^
Many would say that Harbaugh is a dick (based on his first few seasons) and he has failed at Michigan.
November 14th, 2020 at 7:15 PM ^
Hadley was looking good tonight, that is, until the camera caught him picking his nose.
November 14th, 2020 at 8:26 PM ^
Maybe as RB coach
