The 2011 line was so sneaky good and it's weird no one really realized how talented they were till after the fact. I suspect the fact that Omameh was 2* guy had me overlooking him and Schofield kind of lived in Lewan's shadow a bit. Then all of a sudden Omameh and Schofield were NFL guys for a while and you're like....wait, that line was really good

The coaching staff wasn't exactly helping them out.

That was the transition year and basically Denard ad llibbing most of the offense.

Fitz had 1,000 yards and the offense wasn't terribly far off what it was the year before statistically, though they asked Denard to read a defense way too much and throw from the pocket.

i know bredeson was a drevno recruit (mattison also listed), but overall what coach warinner has done is truly an astonishing accomplishment. i would've laughed in your face if you told me that we'd have actual talent at every position as well as depth on the o line, as opposed to one standout like bredeson or ruiz, only one year after his hire.

Great to hear Big Ben getting some accolades for his stellar play.

I see a few of our opponents also have some representatives on this list, especially on defense.

Things should be very different than last year when those DEs could just get after us especially against OSU and ND, and to some extent NU, when we got behind.

Imagine the very notion, wanting to keep the D on their heels, spread thin, and uncertain, in this day and age. Well I never!

Man just think if Grant Newsome was entering his third year? At least second as a starter. Hutchinson would be our biggest concern.....not in the stars I guess.

I was down at the stadium last year running steps one night outside at the east entrance and that night happened to be when they held a portion of practice in the stadium. As the team exited the stadium I got fairly close to Bredeson and a couple of other OL.

Bredeson is so much larger than I am that it seems like he's a different branch of homo sapiens altogether.
