IMHO, Rodney is about 10 steps up from sandwich boy Todd Jones. At least he can blow his FB by people and actually get a clutch strikeout (struck out the side in the 9th). Tell me, if Rodney makes you want to shoot yourself, who would you chose as the closer?
I would much rather have future stars (Joyce, Thomas, Raburn, Larish, Hollimon) than trade them away for a mediocre closer that we will probably only get to use for 3 months. Just wait until the offseason and watch as Dave "The Genius" Dombrowski scoops up K Rod from the free agent market.
