Braylon is sorry for his 1 year old tweet bashing Shea and Ruiz and is selling a book
Freep link:
The book is co-written (well, probably just written) by Tom VH.
Let the Braylon bashing/defending begin!

Maybe you wouldn't have lost wages if you held on to the football in the pros, drunky.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:16 PM ^
WRs, man. Why are all the crazy ones WRs?
September 6th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
Leave Antonio Brown out of this!
September 6th, 2019 at 1:21 PM ^
The wide receivers are the ones who grew up with everyone saying, "Dang, man, you're fast and you can jump. You're going to make it to the NFL." Nobody knows how to evaluate linemen or linebackers, but it's not hard to see the (often) tall guys who run really fast and score all the touchdowns. A 6'5", 300 lb. guy who's good at football looks a lot like a 6'5", 300 lb. guy who's not good at football.
At least that's the way it has always been in the programs I've seen.
I've seen plenty of big dudes and people are kind of reticent to heap praise on them, because there are a lot more questions about whether they're athletic, whether they're tough, etc.

The new ESPN Body Issue says, 'I kinda concur!'

WTF does ^^^ even mean?!
LMAO, you ladies crack me up.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:08 PM ^
....or like girls who are considered beautiful all of their early life. People heap praise and adoration on them everyday growing-up just for being cute. By the time they reach adulthood they are often bat-shit crazy, self-absorbed, sociopaths.

I dont bring your wife up on the blog. I expect the same courtesy.

I heard an explanation once that made sense to me:
For other key offensive positions (e.g., QB or RB) -- you know, with high certainty, which plays you'll be involved in. If you're the top RB on a team, you know going into the game that it is very likely you'll get at least 15 carries and a few catches. If you're QB, obviously you'll touch the ball on every offensive play.
If you're a top WR? There's no guarantee you'll get the ball more than a few times, even if you're open. So if you want to show everyone your skills, you may feel you *have* to demand the ball. And to get your demands noticed, sometimes these folks feel they have to get demonstrative (which can lead to histrionics).
It's a cycle of "THROW ME THE DAMN BALL" that feeds on itself.

Thanks Dr. Phil for that expert analysis.

Poor guy, going full butthurt troll because no one likes your stupid hot takes.

Thanks for providing my entertainment for the last few minutes of work. Thoroughly enjoyable...
Looking forward to seeing the additional comments later this evening, that way I know you were thinking about me. lmao

Just the fact that you posted that GIF... makes me laugh. Is that in your 'bag of comebacks'?!
And if your shits are weak, maybe a prostate exam is in order? Could be affecting your shits... myself, zero shits given so I'm good.
September 6th, 2019 at 6:33 PM ^
Haha what the hell? I personally prefer assessing the amount of fiber and magnesium in my diet first, but someone would rather dive right in.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^
Can't think of another player I've disliked so much since leaving the team. Sorry Tom VH, no thanks on the book.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:41 PM ^
What continues to amaze me is how different he is from his father Stan, who played under Bo. Their personalities couldn't be more different.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:50 PM ^
I don't know the whole backstory there, but Stan doesn't come off too well in the book. I don't want to get too political/religious, but when a dad isn't available 100% of the time to his kids, they often get messed up.
I'm too young to know much about Stan Edwards other than what I've seen of him during the Braylon/Berkley/Bailey years, but I'm guessing Bo Schembechler wouldn't have been a big fan of ditching his kid for long stretches of time.
September 6th, 2019 at 5:43 PM ^
Bo wasn’t the most available Dad from what I have heard.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:21 PM ^
There's already enough antagonism and grudges to go around - none are needed inside the Michigan faithful. If he wants to heal some rifts, good. Harbaugh was persona non grata for a short time after his comments at Stanford - water under the bridge.
Let's focus on beating up our enemies and not ourselves.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:36 PM ^
The issue with Edwards seems to be that he wants the same kind of recognition or treatment as those players at Michigan who were great in college and went on to become legendary in the NFL. It's too bad, but Edwards did not go on to have the professional career of Woodson or Brady. He seemed to think he should be some kind of honorary captain, giving guest speeches before games, etc. He was a great college player here, but there are only a few players in Michigan history who are given red carpet treatment and he always seemed a little burned that he wasn't one of them.
September 6th, 2019 at 1:54 PM ^
Um, I think you are making his point for him. Based on what he accomplished at UM, if any player does deserve 'red carpet treatment' it is him. Love him or hate him (FWIW, I'm pretty neutral) - he was arguably the greatest WR to ever play for UM based on his on-field accomplishments.
He obviously did not have the NFL career of Brady / Woodson / etc. but I don't think his UM accomplishments should be downgraded. The only reason he does not get 'red carpet treatment' is because he's perceived (correctly, for the most part) as an arrogant and selfish individual, and people don't like his behavior -- not because he didn't have success in the NFL.

Hold me Tom
September 6th, 2019 at 1:30 PM ^
Sorry not sorry. Unless you buy my book then I’m sorry. I remember my first drunk tweet.
September 6th, 2019 at 4:17 PM ^
What was it?
September 6th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
Braylon would fit in perfectly here on game days.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:30 PM ^
I also say stupid shit when I drink, but then again I say stupid shit when sober.
September 6th, 2019 at 3:40 PM ^
Indeed. He'd be much better off posting anonymously. I wonder how many screen names he'd burn through here?
September 6th, 2019 at 1:43 PM ^
Nice "I'm sorry but not sorry" apologies.
If Braylon sells more than 1,000 copies I'll eat an...
September 6th, 2019 at 1:55 PM ^
I'll eat an...
Normally, I'd guess you'd eat a lemon but you said "an" which implies you'd eat something whose name starts with a vowel. Apple? Eggplant? Ostrich?
September 6th, 2019 at 2:02 PM ^
Ass. He'll eat an ass.
We get to choose the ass though, so good luck buddy!
September 6th, 2019 at 1:47 PM ^
Of course he is lol
September 6th, 2019 at 1:55 PM ^
After the first under the lights I was leaving the stadium and saw a familiar face driving a SUV. It was Braylon so I popped my head in his window and gave him a fist bump.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:07 PM ^
Braylon is my all-time favorite player, but let's be honest. He didn't win a lot of big games.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:28 PM ^
TBH, this is actually an interesting question:
Since 2004, who is the Michigan player who has won the most big games?
September 6th, 2019 at 2:31 PM ^
<cries in OSU record since 2003>
September 6th, 2019 at 2:33 PM ^
Since 2004, who is the Michigan player who has won the most big games?
Duh, Tom Brady.
Oh, you meant at college.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:42 PM ^
Are MSU big games? Henne and Hart went 4-0 plus a bowl win.
Denard beat OSU, won a Sugar Bowl, beat Notre Dame twice, and also had a win over MSU.
September 6th, 2019 at 9:52 PM ^
Agree, Denard!!
September 6th, 2019 at 4:32 PM ^
Denard... obviously.
1-3 MSU, 2-2 ND and 1-3 OSU
Michigan’s only BCS W in the Sugar Bowl since Brady in 2000
Sadly that’s a better record than everyone else to play in a wolverine uniform.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:19 PM ^
Sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know cuz I wouldn't eat the filthy motherf*cker. Pigs sleep and root in sh!t. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense enough to disregard its own feces.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:28 PM ^
Was it a twitter apology or a real apology?
September 6th, 2019 at 2:31 PM ^
Was looking back at some of the receiver stats around Braylon's era.
https://mgoblue.com/cumestats.aspx?path=football&year=2006
LaTerryal Savoy is listed as having 0 catches in 2006 for 7 yards giving him an "infinity" average. Anybody have an explanation?
September 6th, 2019 at 2:44 PM ^
I don't remember that play. Maybe he got YAC credit for picking up a fumble and advancing it off someone else's catch and fumble?
IDK ... that is one weird stat. Quite fitting, considering Lloyd went with Freddy J's insistence on taking Savoy over Ron E pounding the table for DeSean Jackson.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:51 PM ^
And Rueben Riley has 1 catch for negative 9 yards as well. I don't know what the stat people are doing but it doesn't seem right.
September 6th, 2019 at 2:56 PM ^
I could see Riley catching a deflection (like happened in the Sugar Bowl against VaTech) and being down behind the line.
