Good for him. I wish him the best, except when we play him, when I wish him to have an unremarkable day because we're up by 28 before he attempts his fourth pass.

We will see if he has improved at feeling pressure in the pocket. If not .....watch out.

For a fun/sad/horrifying read, you can always revisit his recruiting post

Check out this alternate universe:

Peters will then cool his heels behind a returning starter as a redshirt freshman. If O'Korn wins the job it'll be a free-for-all between a fifth-year senior Speight, a redshirt sophomore Peters, and a redshirt freshman Dylan McCaffrey for the starting job. I have no idea who wins that job. I have a suspicion they'll be good at football.

Jesus the offensive side of that 2016 is gonna end up being horrifically bad at the skill positions. Every QB/RB/WR is off the roster going into their 4th year, and none of them were early entrants to the draft. Slight caveats to Evans, the only one who has been a major contributor and may come back, and Hawkins, who didn't make it in 2016 but did in 2017 (as a safety however so still not offense). The OL has hit thankfully and the 2/3 TEs that remain have as well.

On the flip side that defensive class was phenomenal. Pretty much everyone minus Johnson and Mbem-Bosse hit, even the lowly rated guys like Gil, Metellus and Dwumfour.

Also funny is Evans recruiting profile which has him as a WR but projects him to Safety.

Wow. Yikes.

It's normal to have some guys not work out. But that is... carnage.

You can forgive planned carnage. Not every skill player will hit. Not every QB will hit (Harbaugh brings in one a year, and everyone knows that not all of them will be here after four years). But to suffer that kind of attrition at places like WR and RB is bad, bad, bad.

And it makes the windows for success pretty narrow. We've had great defensive personnel, and now that we expect our offense to finally hit stride... D-Line and Secondary are both potentially significant weak points, and LB isn't all-world. You need great players to bridge these gaps.

Great news.  If he is starter-caliber at Illinois and our guys were clearly ahead of him, that's just a little more confirmation that Shea and DMac are the real deal.  I hope he does well out there.

Best wishes to you, Brandon!

You are a true Wolverine soldier throughout the difficult times here.

Hope you show the world what you've got. I don't mind you doing well vs Michigan as we should be comfortably ahead of Illini no matter how you perform.

I always remember his response to the news that Michigan was taking Patterson, very classy, very Michigan. If my memory is correct, there was no complaining, no issue. His father just said " we aren't afraid of competition".

Good for Brandon.  He has the physical tools to play in the NFL.  If he can be more of an assertive leader and stay focused, he will get there.

If you told me we would go 11-1 but I get to pick the loss, I would pick Illinois. Here's to 12-0

or 13-0

or 14-0

or 14-1

or 15-0

Hope he plays well. Does he got two years left? Maybe he can help Lovie Smith last a few more years.

Would like to see illinois hand Nebraska and Frost a loss this season.

Everyone here is happy for Peters, which they should be.  There where a number of people who posted about his likely transfer last fall on this board and got negged for it. Transferring is often best for both sides, as in this case.

saying someone should or likely will transfer from UM is stupidly taboo on this site.
