He also has deep Midwestern roots. He can recruit Ohio well. He coaches the type of football PSU wants.(MANBALL!!)

PSU needs a guy who will be there awhile. There is no such guarantees with a Franklin. PSU would be a destination spot for Narduzzi.

Maybe he is talking about the board, alumni, and boosters who created the environment that made what happened possible. While I feel bad for the players, they had a chance to look elsewhere. Unfortunately it is hard to punish one group with out some collateral damage.

Good. I hope Penn State continues to wallow in their own misery after tonight. I feel zero sympathy for them after that debacle against them this year.

Here's to Hoke and Co. putting a serious beating on them come next Fall.

Don't blame them for beating UM when UM blew the game.  What are they supposed to do, give the win to UM?  It's in UM's best interest for PSU to be good, for our games to be televised, to have a rivalry like we had in the early and mid 2000's, etc.  Don't blame PSU for UM's deficiencies.

I don't blame BOB for leaving at all. Everyone knew eventually he wanted to be an NFL head coach. He took a job in a shitty spot, where the only thing expected was failure and succeeded two straight years. He's set them up better than anyone could expect, and got the opportunity he was looking for and took it.

They should hire Al Borges, I've heard that guy is pure gold from some people on this board. Please PSU? I'll buy the plane ticket!

This really sucks for PSU fans and college football fans.  I thought he did a tremdous job under the circumstances and he was exactly what PSU needed - a calming, respectable face for the program.  He came across as genuine which is rare among coaches.  I have no doubt he would have absoluetely gotten PSU back to Top 25 caliber teams year in year out.  I know he was a NFL guy, but I think he passed up an opportunity to be something special to that university/community.  My two pennies...

Yes, I still think he would be if he'd be willing to go. They need a good stable coach who can get them through the next 5 years. He could certainly do that, and with the way Duke played this year recruits will want to play for him.

Maybe I'm talking crazy, but if Hoke is fired next year I would not be sad at all if we tried to get Narduzzi to come here.

And don't give me the ''he's never been a HC before'' crap. Neither was Stoops before OU.

I'm pretty sure it's well documented that Bo was an acolyte of Woody Hayes. Yeah I have no problem taking anybody from anywhere as long as that person is the best qualified person that can take Michigan back to the heights of college football. Hoke may be that guy but a lot of damage has been done to that idea. Next year is huge.

Also this is the possible scenario we could have been in if Harbaugh had come here. We'd be melting down saying what a big pos the guy is for leaving for the nfl. Although O'Brien isn't an alum.
