They couldve done the episode where Lalo dies and one more to wrap it up and I wouldve been good. I love a good 19 item heist from Macys as much as the next guy but yeesh.

What is there to be disappointed about? I strongly disagree with those who think BCS is a better show than Breaking Bad but it’s still great. There’s no way that this show can match the frenetic pace of the conclusion of Breaking Bad so that will be a challenge, but I still think this has been a good season. Key point from this episode is we learn that Kim is still alive and Saul/Jimmy is still hung up on her. Makes me wonder if she will appear in the final episode.

We don’t know who was on the other end of the phone call Jimmy/Saul/Gene made.  For all we know, he could have been told that Kim is dead.  His reaction and his self destructive decisions in that aftermath of that phone call suggest to me that he just lost everything.  He finds out all of his assets are gone, maybe Kim too, and he says fuck it.  I’m back in business until I’m caught or I die.

Brilliant episode! The tying into the BB story with the flashbacks was excellent. Mike warning Saul not to get involved with the Heisenberg since he was an amateur tied into the scam with the last guy in the bar. He should have stayed away from the cancer man. I think this will lead to Gene's demise.

In a prior episode we saw the matchbooks in Saul's drawer with three matchsticks on the cover. Three strikes. Jimmy dodged a felony with the whole Chuck debacle. Strike one. Saul disappeared when the drug empire was going down. Strike two. Now Gene breaking and entering the cancer guys house. Strike three. Can't wait too see where it goes from here.

The flashbacks were to the BB episode named Better Call Saul. We don't know what Jimmy heard on the phone when he called looking for Kim. He was pissed and upset, and from their its like he "broke". The episode was named "Breaking Bad"

I dont think we get a happy ending. Kim is either dead, moved on, or in deep deep hiding. Jimmy broke the Gene character after that phone call.

Agreed.  It's clear to me that an amicable Kim-Gene reunion is out of the question.  This was something highly rumored a few weeks ago, but now I think its going nowhere.

All there is left to answer is what's going to happen to Gene/Saul/Jimmy?  If I was to make a guess, he's going to get caught doing one of his scams and get outed as Saul Goodman.  He either kills himself or gets put into jail for the rest of his life.

I think Jeffies mom ends up using that new laptop to expose Gene somehow.

Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are top notch storytellers. The foreshadowing, easter eggs, and continuity in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul is top notch. I find myself surfing reddit after each episode because I've surely missed a minute detail.

There was definitely foreshadowing to Saul's death... possibly it was meant to be symbolic of the death of Gene, or perhaps that the person (Jimmy/Saul/Gene) would die.

When the Breaking Bad flashback in the RV transitioned from the empty grave to Gene lying in bed, there was a moment where Gene was lying in the grave.  This is definitely not just a coincidence. I am also of the mind that the series is not going to have a happy ending.

We all know at this point that the Gene timeline ("future/current") is in black and white and it makes the time jumps to "past" easier to notice before anything really happens.  But it also may let you know that there is more coming with respect to the "past" timeline.  My guess is that the timelines will meet up in the final episode and then the Gene timeline will be color.  Also notice that in the black and white, there is no music/score and everything feels very isolated and quiet, very "cold."  Certainly symbolic of Gene's life.  The more clues I pick up on the harder it is to try and figure out what the heck is going to happen over the next two episodes!!

These last few episodes, I keep thinking back to what Chuck told Jimmy/Saul in the last episode they saw each other. Was one of my favorite moments in the entire series.

Paraphrasing, but it was something to the effect of “All you do is hurt people, over and over. If you’re not going to change, and we know you won’t, then why don’t you just skip this whole charade of emotion? In the end, you’re going to hurt everyone around you. You can’t help it, so stop apologizing for it and embrace it. Frankly, I’d have more respect for you if you did.”

It was such a powerful moment, and I think it violently shoved Jimmy down the path he’s on right now. I think it was one of the main catalysts for everything he did in Breaking Bad and especially over the last two episodes. 1) He finally understood Chuck was right all along. Being a lowlife scamming con is just who he is. He can’t help it, even when he wanted to. It’s clear how bad he misses the action these last two episodes and he’s willing to put his safety and essentially his life on the line to get back in the game. 2) I think it’s also been a desperate attempt to, even after his death, finally gain Chuck’s respect. Chuck told him he’d at least respect him for finally embracing his authentic self. Buried somewhere deep under all the slimy bullshit Saul has ever pulled, is a sad, lonely younger brother desperate to please his older brother and essentially his role model.

Its also possible too that he found out in that phone call that Kim is either dead, or alive but told him to never contact her again, and after finding out all his money is gone on top of it, he could be in full on “I don’t give a fuck anymore, I’ve lost literally everything, let’s go out Scarface style.”

The only comment I would have to this is that, to a large degree, Jimmy was that way because that is how Chuck needed him to be.  Chuck was an incredibly talented lawyer but he was mentally ill.  His professional successes clearly masked deep seated insecurities, and he used a moral superiority to Jimmy to a form of self-medication.  Every time Jimmy actually did something well Chuck's conditioned deteriorated.  Chuck was certainly not a hero to Jimmy's villain and was acting to directly impede any really progress Jimmy was trying to make by the end.
