I think unfortunately though most recruits would rather be playing for the team contending for a championship rather than playing for a team that is relegated to the role of spoiler.

Anyone worried we have so many recruits coming to this game, which is typically a big game for us, but this year is a little ho-hum? I am worried if we get soundly beaten, the boo birds start to come out, and the general emotions of our guys is down again after the game like last week, it could be really bad for recruits. I don't think we have to win, but I also don't think we can afford to look bad in a loss either.

I do not know how much one game matters. I have read that it mostly doesn't and have seen kids commit to Notre Dame that we were recruiting after we went in and beat them, but it can't be a good thing to get soundly beaten in front of high profile recruits, which I think is going to happen to us Saturday.
