B1G Media Days Attendees: Mazi, DJ, Cade, Erick
The Big Ten football media days take place in Indy on July 26-27. They announced all the attendees today (full list HERE).
The defending league champions are sending Mazi Smith, DJ Turner, Cade McNamara and Erick All. Good choices!
No word yet on who USC and UCLA are sending. /s
JJ couldn't shoulder the burden of attending.
Not sure why the negs, other than people don't get the reference to his shoulder work. Or they're just soft and can't handle a little off-color humor...
JJ is QB2.
Yeah, if we know one thing about Harbaugh it's that he believes in entitlement (not meritocracies) so he would have already decided his starter before fall camp...
It's the new joe milton award.
Naming a QB before pads.
Is this sarcasm, because if it isn't, Cade was the starter on the Big Ten championship team, you know, the one that beat OSU. Until fall practice decides the starter, it's right that Cade is in the top position for media days.
McNamara is the #1 QB because he's the best QB on the team.
I don't think JJ would still be wearing a Michigan uniform if he was not at least considered QB 1.5.
I keep seeing people online saying "I've never seen a 2 QB system work"
Wow, Michigan won a B1G title for the first time in 19 years, beat OSU, and went to the CFP last year. Sorry you missed it!
I don't think what Michigan did last year can rightly be considered a 2 QB system. They might very well do that this year but JJ was still a novelty last year.
2 QB system doesn't mean splitting time 50/50. It means having someone who plays situationally on running downs, red zone, etc. Not just coming in for back-up snaps. JJ had his own packages last year that we used in almost every game.
That's true.
He just convinced me. Give me my dollar back.
Cade is essentially undefeated, save the MSU scam game, and vs Georgia. People need to respect it.
Witnessed with my own two eyes from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium: Leak/Tebow
I was going to say the same thing. Other than the fact I saw it on TV. Leak/Tebow totally worked. They were more complimentary, but they were both QBs.
Well, a two-QB system at Michigan did eventually produce the greatest quarterback in football history, so in that sense, it worked pretty well.
The negs also surprised me.
Or is it just average behavior in a rivalry, that anything and everything about your side must be positive & glowing, while everything and anything about their dastardly side must be at attack?
Or FranzWagner is a trolling cockfuck and thus nothing he posts should be seen charitably.
After reading his or her other comments, do you really think the poster is going for humor other than to rile up other posters?
I'd assumed this was just a joke about his offseason shoulder issues, but since your posts are nearly always shitty, not giving you the benefit of the doubt.
All the other schools are sending three players. We’re sending four. Harbaugh going above and beyond!
Also, Rutgers is sending their punter.
The punter comment actually made me laugh.
Nebraska is sending Scott Frost’s mom and who else?
And some stray cat they found in the equipment room.
With all due respect to Rutgers, Korsak was the only player on the team named first team All Big Ten, was named a Ray Guy finalist and was #1 in the NCAA last year in net punt yards at 45.25. BTW, we were #4 last year with Brad Robbins who is of course returning. Robbins and Korsak should be the top contenders this year for the Ray Guy award.
I hope the Media poll after the Conference Media Days predicts Michigan to finish fourth in the Division, with no players projected to be on the 1st or 2nd All Conference teams after the season.
it would be ideal material to place in both the S&C and locker rooms.
I would love to hear a reporter ask Ryan Day during B1G Media Days, or - especially, Jimbo Fisher during the SEC Media Days…. how much more are you spending on - or budgeting for - NIL this year?
Ryan Day - asked a group of Buckeye boosters to help find $13M more to keep the team in place. What did it cost the Bucks last year? How about the year before that - and, the one before that?
Jimbo admitted during an interview that payments have been going on for a while - it’s just that they are completely legal - and “above board” now. So, Jimbo - what’s it cost A&M for each year you’ve coached there?
How embarrassing it is going to be for them when they get punched in the mouth by UM and Bama? Money is not going to help, when you also need to know how to coach. I am so looking forward to Bama-A&M game after all UM games this year.
USC is sending OJ Simpson
UCLA is sending Rick Neuheisel
Wish JJ went
