Sparty fans claim there’s a conspiracy of Michigan fans/Michigan bias in the media that constantly holds them back from realizing their true potential. Like this media bias leads to a more negative perception of them than they actually deserve, and if it wasn’t for the blue wall then MSU would finally be recognized for all their superior qualities.

Well maybe, just maybe, if those fans of that community college up North, wouldn't go burning furniture and overturning cars after every major win, loss, or change in the relative humidity, maybe then they would get some RESPECT.

You would think that an agricultural school would truly understand and embrace the concept of "you reap what you sow."

I like the Penn St./Arkansas matchup in the Outback Bowl if Clifford is healthy.

Clemson/Iowa St. in the Cheese-It Bowl sounds like a good matchup with Clemson playing better.

Big fan of competitive matchups!

We have 4 B1G vs SEC bowls.

2 vs Pac12, 1 vs Big12, 1 vs ACC, 1 vs MAC, 4 vs SEC. Why are half of our Bowls against one conference, and why do most of our Bowls still take place in our opponents home territories?

As much as I agree with your frustration and hate the idea of all the B10/SEC matchups.....there are some logical reasons.

Those two conferences have a lot of eligible teams and fans that care about them while the ACC and P12 don't.  Meanwhile a majority of bowl games take place in warm weather cities....where the SEC is located. Unfortunately, that stacks things against the B10....as it has been forever.

Maybe when (if?) they expand the playoff we can get some more cold weather sites or home field advantage.  I would LOVE to host Georgia.

Because it's about money and travel and no one wants to travel north to most of our cities.

If Chicago had a dome, I bet they'd get a big NY6 level bowl. Wrigley is trying to get a mid-level bowl game.

But that's probably just going to be a Minnesota/Iowa St. type matchup at best.

What I've always wanted is an 8-team playoff with the high seeds hosting quarterfinal games in their home stadiums! Then the LOSERS of those 4 games would go to bowls...while the WINNERS would play in the existing CFP format.

That would mean Baylor coming to Michigan Stadium the week before Christmas. That would be AWESOME!

If we were #1, we'd get Ole Miss coming to Michigan Stadium. That's such a great picture for college football.

Then Michigan wins, and send Baylor/Ole Miss to a bowl so their season doesn't end on a campus in Ann Arbor in mid-December, they get to do the warm weather bowl around New Year's Day.

UTSA vs. SDSU in the Frisco Bowl, there's a G5 matchup that I'll definitely watch!

The Fightin'...err, I'm mean...The Clappin' Hokes were decimated by COVID yesterday. They should be healthy for this matchup.

As a student at UTSA I'm pretty excited to see that we're facing Hoke and SDSU. I'm a bit peeved that we got a pretty mediocre bowl (A soccer stadium in Frisco? Really?) for being the C-USA champs (Understandable because this conference is pretty bad) but a 12-1 vs. a 11-2 MW runner-up is gonna be fun.

Eerily on-brand for Sparty to puff its chest and crow about beating us, here as we marched on to glory, then complain about the tough match-up with Pitt.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pitt will have a month to figure out how to slice their secondary into tidy piles of salami, ham, and capicola. But personally, I think that they're in with a prayer.

Sparty's lucky season continues with Pitt (who lost at home to Western Michigan), in the Peach Bowl.

We'll see if OSU learned anything when they play the Utes.

Granted, I haven’t watched much of Pitt.  But I did see their defense get crushed by Western and they lost that shootout 44-41.

Plus, you know, they play in the horrible ACC.  I have to study their resume but I wish Sparty was playing someone better.

The state of Michigan has 5 schools in FBS bowl games: UM, MSU, CMU, WMU & EMU!

Plus both Ferris St and Grand Valley St made the NCAA DII Playoffs, Ferris St is in the semifinals, and Concordia College made the NAIA Football Championship tournament!

Hooray for the Mitten State!
