Alan Branch signs with Seattle
Per Adam Schefter:
just saw that. I live in seattle and hate the seahawks..He finally gives me a reason to root for them. Best Pic EVER!!!!
I used to live in Ballard.
Recently moved out to Kirkland from Ann Arbor. Dislike most everything about it and want to go back. This will give me something to look for this year out of the Hawks though.
really? Kirklands a nice area but can be a bit uppity. What do you dislike about the area besides the rain?
You don't have to shovel rain :)
I'm now a UW grad student. guess I'll be seeing you folks at Buckley's this season...
I live in Belltown, actually right across the street from Buckleys. But I never go for games cuz I'm normally in a fetal position on my couch during gameday.
Also, to our Kirkland buddy, the eastside sucks donkey dick. There's nothing to do.
Thats a true statement. On a sunny warm day there is no better place to be. It's just that warm sunny days happen once a month.

<br>Not shoveling is nice, but the lack of a real summer sucks. One thing I have been hunting for and can't find is a good sandwich shop in this city, any recommendations?
Paseo's.... just up the hill on Fremont Ave in Fremont... been on Food Network a lot. I suggest the Midnight Cuban.
Also, check out the Where Ya At Matt foodtruck:
Cajun Po' Boy sandwiches that will blow your mind. The pulled pork Po' Boy has cilantro pesto puree and sliced green apples on it.
Paseo for sure. I would bathe in their caramelized onions if it was socially acceptable.
probably because it basically only has summer. I love visiting Seattle and Portland just to see some rain every now and then......
Salumi, down in Pioneer Square. They're only open at lunch time and only Mon-Thurs. But its really really good.
And there's even a Potbelly downtown now! It's on third and Pine.
This summer has been awful for sunshine. The past two summer were great, so we do get sun from time to time.
For a sandwich, definitely check out Paseo's in Fremont, but be prepared to wait in line. Lunchbox Labratory near the REI in South Lake Union (apparently the one up in Ballard is closed now) has some good burgers and I assume their sandwiches are pretty good.
My wife and I only recently (back in October) moved out to Bainbridge from Ann Arbor, so I'm by no means a Seattle foodie. With that said, if you don't mind vegetarian food, I thought that Georgetown Liquor Company had some pretty solid stuff (I am partial to the Darth Ruben). They use a lot of that Field Roast stuff which, to me, isn't a horrible substitute for meat.
(btw, Seattle thread...no way!)
Will be seeing ya'll there.
I thought this thread would just become an excuse to post the best picture ever.
Moved from Farmington to Seattle in 97' I have grown to like the Hawks (but Lions are my team) and this just helps me pull for them, love Branch. They had Jamarr Adams on the team for a bit but then cut him, I thought he could have done some nice things on special teams but ohwell...I hope Branch rips it up.
Go Blue!
ALSO, The Tap House in Bellevue is a good Michigan spot for the eastsiders, thats where I go when Buckleyes is jam packed.
Their gonna need it!!! No quarterback in the NFL means your no good! I can see them tanking this year so they can go after Luck, Landry Jones or Matt Barkley in the draft.
Remember what division they're in. If they can even get average QB play, they have a good shot at winning the division. Just look at last season.
I hope a fresh start will unleash this dude. He never could break through in PHX.
and Watson finally broken up. At least they're still in the same time zone.
for 1/2 the year anyway
Has anyone else picked him up yet?
Happy for the former guys. Hopefully Branch can excel in Seattle. Always glad to see our guys going to playoff teams (Breaston to KC). I'm sure Hart will get picked up soon enough, he's got really good value as a 3rd down back with his above average blocking and ability to evade tackles. He just needs to stay healthy and he'll be good.
