AJ Dillon Great new SPARQ numbers
AJ Dillon at the NY/NJ Opening event has these numbers: 6'1"; 239 lbs.; 4.56 40; 4.29 shuttle and 38.3 vertical. Great numbers for a kid his size.
Also Benjamin St-Juste showing well at a legit 6'3", 192 lbs., with a shuttle time of 3.93 and a 4.6 40.

We're getting faster and more athletic at every position on the field save the d-line--which, as we all anknowledge, was well-stocked with kids possessing great measurables, thanks to Hoke.
Certainly yes. But there we're adding an elite player to elite unit--a unit that can already go two-deep at every spot.
Seems to me like he could be an all-world free safety.
It looks like BSJ will grow into a LB

He was recruited as a corner.
Hmmm...
No, I think he's a better corner prospect. Because he tackles like Cullen Christian did coming out of high school, and that's not a compliment. Christian eventually ended up playing some safety, but he wasn't very good at that, either.
I think St-Juste's best shot is to get stronger and work on his technique to just be a handsy, lanky corner. He doesn't have great speed or ball skills or hips. He's not much of a hitter.
Also, his film sucks. Not necessarily his play, but just the people taking the video. It's like they handed a camera to a second grader who was just learning how to use electronics. And then leaving the second grader to do the editing, too.
I'm not giving up on St-Juste because I trust this coaching staff, but I think we could find more talented corners.
That's interesting, since we just wrapped up a class with David Long, Khaleke Hudson, Lavert Hill, etc. To average 6'3", we're going to have to start reeling in some of those 6'6" and 6'7" safeties and corners...
I really like Dillon's tape at running back but I have to be honest I want to see him on defense. This is the kind of guy Alabama takes and puts on defense. He reminds me a little of Ryan Anderson. I don't knock him as a running back, I think he could be very very good at both spots.
Just a thought.
Also I'd rather see him at 230 than 239 if he is at RB. Clearly he can carry him but it takes a very very special talent to carry 240 pounds on a 6-1 frame at RB, on any frame for that matter.

So its begining to look like St-Juste might end up staying in the class.
