As always, you never know how much you appreciate things until you miss them.  Thanks Ace, and the whole team, for the Basketball Previews.  Great stuff!  We know you guys are busy with actual lives and stuff in addition to the blog, so here's hoping you're busy enjoying the game itself this afternoon... and that Ace's inevitable "In which I predict..." is a horrible prediction for today!

It looks like having Dakich, Doyle, and Chatman on the floor might not be a good idea It's kind of baffling to me that Dakich gets any PT. You can just put MAAR at PG and have Dawkins as a reserve guard. He can't defend any position, so I don't see why it matters whether he's a "SF" or "SG"

Harvard is having a tough year, Tommy Amaker could be available for the right price. I mean for when Michigan fires the coach who went to a National Championship game and Elite 8 after taking over a complete garbage program who hadn't been to the tourney without vacating the result in like 20 years

This is sad to see. We have no chance in most games against top competition. This isn't okay and I'm sick of the apologists making excuses. Michigan should not be embarrassed 10 times in a single season.

One thing I have trouble understanding is our complete lack of anything even approaching clutch shooting.  Maybe it's just Lavert's absence, but this is D1 ball... shouldn't they all be able to make "that clutch shot"... to at least staunch the bleeding for a moment???

I know all the apologists for the bball team like to point to the fact that we are still likely to make the tourney as their defense.  But seriously, who gives a shit if we make the tourney as an 11 seed if we are just going to get bounced in round 1?  Using "making the big dance" as a benchmark for the program is ridiculous.  That would be akin to using bowl eligible as a benchmark for a successful football season.  This team is just not very good and doesn't look like they will be very good in the near future.
