I don't get the Herbie hate. He's pretty darn unbiased and he given Michigan a lot of credit the last two years.

I'm sure deep down he hates us with the fury of 10,000 suns, but he's pretty darn professional about it.

Don't hate Herbie, but I don't like him as a play by play broadcaster.  Jmho, but I find him to speak with a lot of shallow filler.  Wish ESPN would use non OSU announcers for The Game but I like Chrs Fowler and Samantha Ponder.  Mute button and the radio broadcast with Dierdorf will be available.   Just win Michigan and Herbie will be more interesting.

who had sparred some with Herbstreit in the past, arrived back in Columbus just in time for hopefully the beginning of the next down era for OSU.  To recall, he was fired or agreed to resign from 97.1 The Fan in 2011 when he was calling for harsher punishment for Tressel and others.  Mgoblog thread here

Only found out because one of the two Alternative stations I had on my presets was playing one of The Games from the 70s with Rick Leach and Rob Lytle, then a bit later Hooley opened his show to kick off the newest sports talk station in town, 105.7 The Zone neé The X.  Stations looks to be carrying Fox Sports, so we'll get Rich Eisen here as well.  Hooley is currently paired with Maddie Spielman; his last Columbus show was with dad.

Man, it feels like lately Herbie has been bad luck for Michigan when calling their games.

I used to like Herbie a few years ago, but since Harbaugh's return it seems like he's having a tougher time hiding his bias.  He tries to be objective, but his OSU bias still comes through.

I like these two.  I always thought Herbstreit to be fair.  And his play by play analysis is usually pretty good.  And Fowler's good too.  It could be a lot worse.
