2nd half thread after worst 1st half since Rich Rod

For Gods sake without a fake punt, Army would be pitching a shutout!

What exactly did he do?

These are literally the most boneheaded plays I've ever seen. If these guys don't know that fumbling is bad...that's not a head coach thing.

Fake punt was good coaching. Patterson gave SEVEN times in the first half when he should have kept and would've had a big gain. Then the one time he keeps it's a corner blitz.

Harbaugh isn't the one running a 3 man line on 3rd and 4th and 1.

But I guess he hired and/or recruited these guys so everything is on him.

Including the refs taking 7 points off the board.

This is pretty shockingly bad. I worry Harbaugh detractors are right. Just doesn't seem like the guy to lead this program. The whole program looks (frankly) tired, weak, unmotivated, and just sloppy. Mistakes everywhere.

Hope we can turn it around.

Go outside and take a walk man. The kind of aggressive response is so out of proportional to what I said.

To answer your point, though, I'm not sure who we'd hire then. Like any other coaching search, it would depend on who is available, who is having success, and who we think we can get. We would conduct it like any other search...

Put D Caff in. It goes beyond Shea’s bad play. This whole team needs a fucking jolt. If this team is going to do ANYTHING this year, changes have to be made. Let now be the turning point.

This is feeling like the Hoke era when I just stopped watching games altogether because the outcome was inevitable and the lack of effort was painful to watch

Gattis called a great game. If Shea wasn't an idiot with the football, that would be 2 TDs.

If Jay wasn't a horrible RB coach who subs out his hot players for 3rd string backups that have no business seeing the field, then that would be an additional TD as well.

Don Brown can go back to Connecticut now. Dude is overrated af.

Worst half of football I've seen in a long time. Carlos Kemp couldn't stop a slight breeze, football is hot potato, wide receivers aren't doing anything to get open... This is a fucking nightmare

Ok, it's time for McCaffrey. I'm on that wagon for the second half. He's got a better shot at RPO decision making than Patterson at this point. Patterson seems flustered.

It's not the coaching. It's the same problem since Bo's teams---they don't respond well to adversity. Instead of getting mad about a bad break like the dead ball whistle that deprived them of a touchdown, and responding by executing and proving they are the better team, they sulk and go into the tank and let one bad play become a whole bad half.  They need to sack up and play with some confidence instead of choking. Otherwise all the critics of the program are correct.
