2020 RB/ATH Mookie Cooper names Michigan to top 10

It's been a slow couple days on the MGoBoard, so I'm going to throw out a recruiting tidbit. St. Louis (MO) Trinity Catholic running back Teriyon "Mookie" Cooper named Michigan to his top 10 yesterday. He's a 4-star, the #5 athlete, and #85 overall. At 5'9" and 186 lbs., he's smaller than Zach Charbonnet and I think would make for a nice 1-2 punch, but he could also play in the slot.

The rest of the top 10 is Nebraska, LSU, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Missouri, and Alabama. The crystal balls are all for Texas right now, so Michigan has an uphill battle.

Here are his Hudl highlights (LINK).

TBH, I just want a guy named Mookie to play for Michigan.

Off topic... Is there another site people go to for 40/shuttle times? Cuz 247 doesn't always have them.  I keep searching and sometimes find, but not on one site.

Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Another example of Michigan targeting small twitchy athletes on the offensive side of the ball. I truly believe this is intentional and different than the way Harbaugh had been recruiting.  I think he’s interested in at least incorporating some of what they are doing in places like KC and New England, Air Raid etc, and even what the Buckeyes did this year.

I also think that this was what Jim is looking for with the McDaniels hire.

Maybe I’m just a grinch, but I have a hard time with the trend of recruits making a “big announcement” of their top ten or more potential schools. Wake me up when Michigan makes the top three!

Gripes aside, he’s definitely a fit on the all-name team. I wish him better fortune than Mr. Blaylock.

History has proven time and time again being on a recruit's top ten list almost guarantees that Michigan will land him come signing day.  Take this one to the bank along with all the others.
