If Oklahoma scores here it could get ugly.

Baker Mayfield running for his life out there.
Clemson isn't gonna give up that easily.

any michigan-centric reason to root for one or the other?
December 31st, 2015 at 4:32 PM ^
We want OU to win so that Rashan Gary doesn't go to a potential National Title Clemson on Jan 29th for his OV.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:34 PM ^
OUs offense is better IMO although Clemson's QB is more "spread-y" but OU I feel is more balanced which is the type of O you need to beat MSU in case they get past Bama tonight.

Shaq Lawson has about 20 yards worth of TFLs

Idk how anyone likes Clemson orange. It just hurts the eyes after awhile.

If Clemson even makes it to the NC game, I see them having an Oregon type of experience . . . their zone read gets constantly disrupted at the mesh point and their offense goes nowhere. It's already happening now a little bit.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:42 PM ^
You've got one of the 3 BIGGEST games of the entire year, and you stick it in the middle of the afternoon on what is a work day for a lot of people? When tomorrow is a national holiday? WTF are they doing? Are they TRYING to get the worst possible ratings they can?
Who they hell came up with this plan???? New Year's Eve is the domain of craptastic throw away bowls, not the College Football Playoff. And that is PRIME TIME. This is the afternoon. I wouldn't put the Toilet Bowl on at 4PM on New Year's Eve.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:44 PM ^
And to top it off, Saturday is completely free. There are no NFL games. The biggest games on Saturday are the HS all-star games.
The NCAA is sticking a finger in the fans' eyes . . . because they can.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:53 PM ^
Most intriguing is TCU-Oregon.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:57 PM ^
So they could have gone prime-time on Saturday night, Jan 2 and had the whole night to themselves.
Sometimes I think the stupidest people in the world are allowed to make the biggest decisions. Who in their right mind would think that an afternoon workday would be the time to run this game? Just ridiculous.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:44 PM ^
Shaq Lawson is out... that's not good at all for Clemson.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:44 PM ^
like the better team thus far
December 31st, 2015 at 4:45 PM ^
If Lawson isn't coming back in the game that is a HUGE loss
December 31st, 2015 at 4:48 PM ^
Clemson just seems much more "SEC-ish" to me than Oklahoma, so I guess I will root for Oklahoma and their very annoying fight song.
December 31st, 2015 at 4:58 PM ^
Swinney doesn't hide that he's tried to be Bama of the ACC. He says it all the time. They even have a personnel department (which we now have as well) just like Bama.
Saban ran Bama like an NFL team and did what he did, some of those things have stuck over the years.
