Keep talking youngster
I've banged with a dozen players better than you
You can have your NBA hype
You can have your superstar calls.
That's nothing but fuel.
'Cuz I've got a secret
I would sell my soul to win this game
You may be taller
You may jump higher
But you will pry this rebound from my cold dead hands
You think you're tough?
Try getting an engineering degree from Michigan
Studying in hotel rooms and restaurants.
This aint my first rodeo
Go ahead and help your man getting beat to the rack
I've got friends in the league
And I've got friends on this team
They've got one thing in common
If they get me the ball in this paint
I am going to make this rim suffer
I am going to make you look weak
I am going to make your fans cry
It's nothing personal
This is what I do
And tomorrow I'm going to wake up
Feed the dog
And do it all again.

JMo will be missed next year.

According to Denzel Valentine, JMo is a bum. A bum who has won 75% of his games against Sparty. I hope we recruit more bums for the football team

Thank you for putting this together. Nice piece, and I posbanged you.
One quibble: Jordan Morgan would not "sell my soul to win this game." He plays hard, he plays fair, he's an invaluable part of the team. However, at the end of the day, JMo makes it clear that it is "just a game." There are other things much more important to him. Here's a link to a post on his nomination to the NABC Good Works Team which may help explain more:

Other than my quibble, I loved your pics, and love how important he is. JMo (and Horford) are part of the "balance" that makes this team great, and potentially better than last year's team. I remember going to the Big 10 Tournament last year, and how it just didn't go well for him. I'm so glad he got the chance this year, and has done so well.

Very well done, OP. I actually found myself anticipating each photo as I got further into it as well. It does make me think about how much his skills will be missed next year, but how valuable he has been during these last few years of hoops here at Michigan. Indeed, as of right now, his 46 offensive rebounds leads the team.

I like it. I was one of those guys who has quietly cringed every time Morgan used to get the ball. I don't cringe anymore. The first half of this season, I still cringed because he's had a bad tendency to hesitate in the paint which allows people to collapse on him. He's really improved that part of his game this year, and I'm very happy to see it. I hope he keeps improving through the tournament.
Go Blue.

OK, who saw the title and clicked over just to see the horror of very-awkward fanboy-love fan-fiction?
This ended up being much better than I feared. Well done.

Fun fact: in 132 games (112 of them starts), Morgan has never attempted a three-pointer. Playing in one of the most perimeter-friendly offenses in the country, no less. That is some willpower.
with the ball, and I can't help thinking, "put it up, just this once!"
We couldn't possibly say enough about him- kept at it for 5 years (earning an engineering degree), stayed committed to the team both physically and emotionally, despite being surpassed by the 5* recruit, then proceeded to fulfill the higher expectations of the position (in concert with Horford) when McGary went out for the season. Way to Go Blue! I hope he has huge success in whatever he does after he graduates.
Now do one of these for Spike in a couple of years....
