SIAP - Los Angeles where to watch MBB
Sorry if someone has asked this, please don't kill me if so.
Does anyone know where to watch MBB game in Los Angeles?
I have gone to South in Santa Monica for Football, does anyone know if they are going to do something on Saturday?
Thx. Go Blue!
You can check the Michigan Bar Map. This is a big game so I'm assuming that basically any big sports bar should have it on, or put it on if you ask.
The only problem is that the CBS coverge map indicates that they will be showing the Arizona vs. Oregon game in California.
I'm sure this has been said many times by others, but there will be a stream available:

The big sports bars have satellite that will have the feeds from the east though. Most people don't get that at home, but the bars do.
That is a good point. I'm going to have to catch updates on my phone since I'll be fishing.
Nice. I'll be watching it already drunk, and either very happy or very sad already, Pitt plays for the Big East regular season championship right before. Hopefully it will be a very good day, going to bed early tonight, central time means I'm hitting the bar at 1:00.
Yeah, but that really doesn't apply for this. South is a UM bar for no reason other than it gets reserved on football Saturdays by the Alumni Association of LA - and I haven't heard that they're doing that for the UM-MSU game, meaning South with be no better than any other sports bar in LA.
A UM bar on football Saturdays is not necessarily a UM bar the rest of the year.
The thing is that the chance of finding a bar that will be planning on catering to UM basketball fans is low. The bars on that list are generally Michigan-friendly bars. They're at the very least Michigan-neutral. Thus, if you head over to one of them, and ask them to put the game on, you have a very good chance of watching. Or you can call them today and ask them if they'll have the game.
The guy that owns Goal is a Spartan. (3rd and Orlando/Sweeney). If you don't mind the occasional buckeye drifter mouthing off, more than likely they'll have the BB game on. I'm trying to catch up with work this weekend... if things go accordingly I'll be there.
I was going to stream the game and maybe play some online poker, but I'm willing to trek down Montana to South if anyone feels like meeting up. I know the alum club didn't announce anything, but I still suspect a number of M fans will be there tomorrow.
Q's is also a solid option.
Anyone in the Valley watching the game somewhere on our side of the hill? I'd rather not trek all the way to Santa Monica, but Sherman Oaks or Studio City would be cool with me.
NOBODY?!
Maybe I should have said, "Alguien quiere mirar el partido en el Valley? "
Do you really think someone has already posted this?
big wangs on cahuenga in hollywood is an MSU bar, but it will be packed with people watching the game
MSU has a bar and it's called "Big Wangs"? Too many jokes about infantilism and compensating for something or other. . .
It's really unfortunate that one has to apologize in advance for asking where to watch a Michigan sporting event on a Michigan sports website. That is all.
Tamy who is in charge of the UMEC/ LA Alumni group to see if there will be an official game watching location. The problem with South is that it says they open at 12 PM. I will call them tonight to see what their plans are.
I would love to watch this game with some fellow UM fans/ MgoBlogers. I'll let you know what I hear back and will let you know what I find out from South.
Apparently Hollywood Billiards is closed now.
I called and they said they will open at 11 and they have had a lot of calls about it so they will definitely have it on. Sounds like a lot of Michigan people will be there.
Wolvin, I say make the trip over the hill, buddy.
I'll be wearing my Free the Fab Five shirt... If any other MgoBlog readers show up, feel free to say whats up
