Michigan could *technically* still win the Big 10
This is in response to a few posters who said Michigan was eliminated from the Big Ten Championship hunt. This is obviously bat-shit crazy, but IF:
This week:
1. Iowa upsets Ohio State
2. Purdue upsets Michigan State
3. Michigan upsets Wisconsin
AND
Next Week:
1. Minnesota upsets Iowa
2. Penn State upsets Michigan State
3. Northwestern upsets Wisconsin
4. Michigan upsets Ohio State
THEN, Michigan would be a 2010 co-Big Ten champion. Ergo, there is, indeed, a chance.

A certaintity. Hard edge. Hope the rope boys and girls. The ride is going to be wild.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:48 PM ^
I am soooo hoping the rope this season.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:43 PM ^
I thought he said
Hope to rape boys and girls
The Dog the Bounty Hunter avatar does not help, either.
November 18th, 2010 at 4:10 PM ^
....The Suckeyes be an upset??
November 18th, 2010 at 2:37 PM ^
And IF I take a dump that looks like big bird, we could win the National Championship!
November 18th, 2010 at 2:44 PM ^
Be sure to eat corn, nuts, peas, olives and radishes - and don't chew well.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:46 PM ^
I'm really curious to know what your search string was to find that.
November 18th, 2010 at 4:56 PM ^
but then just "big bird" cause I got too much poop.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:38 PM ^
will upset MSU. Book it.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:39 PM ^
So you're telling me there is a chance!!!
November 18th, 2010 at 2:39 PM ^
Cam Newton could be completely innocent.
November 18th, 2010 at 11:04 PM ^
Cam Newton's daddy is squeaky clean.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:40 PM ^
So...who would go to the Rose Bowl in that scenario? Do we have a chance?
November 18th, 2010 at 2:45 PM ^
I think the Rose Bowl will then go to the team with the highest BCS ranking.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:18 PM ^
It would be Michigan because they would have beaten the seventh ranked and ninth ranked teams and would move up past them. The other Big Ten teams such as Iowa and Mich.St. having lost ,would drop too. Northwestern and Penn State would be behind Mich. too because winning their last two games would not give them enough to overcome Michigan's last two quality wins.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:50 PM ^
There was a clause added that if a scenario as catastrophic as the one above occurs, a race will ensue to Pasedena, CA, and the first team there gets to play. (If it's BCS ranking, we'd have to be on top)
November 18th, 2010 at 2:57 PM ^
So if we get to 9-3 with takedowns of OSU & Wisconsin, then I suppose it is also possible that we will have the highest BCS ranking...
November 18th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
We would easily have the highest BCS average as every other team currently ahead of would've lost at least once in their last two games, knocking them down.

Rich Rogel's plane, the greatest personal jet ever...
November 18th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
There ya go. Just send our starting offense. Our D doesn't really do anything anyway.
November 18th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
I'll lay off the D jokes for a few more days at least!
November 18th, 2010 at 3:36 PM ^
Our planes have wings!!
err....
November 18th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
Denard will get us there faster then any jet that is out there. Just jump on his shoulders.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:41 PM ^
One time dealer!
November 18th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
Stranger things have happened.
Wait. No they haven't. But there's a first time for everything.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
A threoretical 7 way tie for first
November 18th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
win both of the remaining games. Don't turn the ball over.
We have a shot at a darn good season and 9-3.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:43 PM ^
...the more I look at those games...Purdue beating MSU is the only one that really seems crazy to me.
Go Blue! We can do it!!!
November 18th, 2010 at 2:45 PM ^
Minnesota over Iowa doesn't look crazy to you? I think it is just as crazy if not more than Purdue over MSU.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:49 PM ^
Northwestern over Wisconsin without Persa doesn't look great either.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:07 PM ^
...but that's the weird thing about NW, I couldn't name any of their players that past ten years and yet they've won quite a few Big 10 games during that time.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:44 PM ^
Remember, Persa is only a first year starter himself- Northwestern always seems to be able to just plug in the next QB in line. I am not saying its likely, but its certainly possible that their replacement QB won't fall flat on his face.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
...but then the Gophers went & won at Illinois last week. With only one game left (a home game too), I could see Gopher pride making a game of it.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:44 PM ^
You Just Described the Current Big East and ACC races with a few more games to go.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:44 PM ^
You mean there is a chance?
I believe PSU has a great chance at beating MSU and I also think that Iowa pulls out a close one against tOSU.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:46 PM ^
Purdue over MSU and Minnesota over Iowa. I really doubt either of those could happen, barring incredible acts of god.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:47 PM ^
I see the word upset alot.
Parlay all those games together for a $15,000 payout on a $20 bet.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:56 PM ^
Could be worse. Could be Alot of Fire:
November 18th, 2010 at 2:52 PM ^
Actually, we would need Penn St to lose to Indiana this week too since we have the same conference record as them and they have the head to head tiebreaker.
EDIT: Oops, seemed to skim over the "co" part :-)
November 18th, 2010 at 6:57 PM ^
If it's more than a 2 way tie, head to head doesn't matter and BCS ranking takes over.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:52 PM ^

if the mods conducted a search for every post by with '"waaaahhhh acceptable' + user < 1000 pts" and deleted them.

Cya later buddy. I liked your point though.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
How does our depth chart look for long snapper next year? Do you think we stick with walkon or spend a scholarship so we can have amazing snaps?
November 18th, 2010 at 2:52 PM ^
He even made a nice chart:
Team Current Week 11 Week 12 Week 13 Final Record Ill 5-4 (3-3) Minnesota Northwestern Bye 8-4 (5-3) * # Ind 4-5 (0-5) Wisconsin Penn State Purdue 6-6 (2-6) Iowa 7-2 (4-1) Northwestern Ohio State Minnesota 8-4 (5-3) * # Mich 6-3 (2-3) Purdue Wisconsin Ohio State 9-3 (5-3) * MSU 9-1 (5-1) Bye Purdue Penn State 9-3 (5-3) * Minn 1-9 (0-6) Illinois Bye Iowa 2-10 (1-7) NW 6-3 (2-3) Iowa Illinois Wisconsin 7-5 (3-5) OSU 8-1 (4-1) Penn State Iowa Michigan 9-3 (5-3) * PSU 6-3 (3-2) Ohio State Indiana Michigan State 8-4 (5-3) * # Pur 4-5 (2-3) Michigan Michigan State Indiana 5-7 (3-5) Wisc 8-1 (4-1) Indiana Michigan Northwestern 9-3 (5-3) *
I guess the NW upset over Iowa happened... but even the replies are the same in this thread.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:10 PM ^
as you may notice, Indiana did not, in fact beat Wisky and some ppl were saying that now UM was eliminated from the race. I was just pointing out that they weren't, even after the Wisky win.
