Crystal ball for 2020 top100 QB
247sports.com Director Steve Wiltfong put in a crystal ball in favor of the good guys for 2020 QB Harrison Bailey. For those who follow recruiting, he is considered "The Guy" for predictions, so this seems notable. Bailey is ranked the #68 player in 2020 and is the #2 ranked Pro-style QB. He plays for Marrietta High School in Georgia, who is home to multiple 4 and 5 stars recruits. If this prediction sticks, he would be one hell of a pickup for that 2020 class, and could headline the offensive side of the ball for what could be a possible top 5-10 class.
First reported by Steve Lorenz of 247. I do not have VIP, so I just looked to find this info out myself.

Edit: I just came across an interview from the Michigan insider. It seems as if he is familiar with the Pattersons. Shea gave him some advice and is a slight fan of his. He is also friends with Sheas younger brother Nick, who is a 2020 recruit at TE.

Yep... The Hinton brothers have grown up big, huge, avid, life-long Michigan fans. Either mom or dad went to Michigan, and there was never any hint of doubt with them. I'd be really surprised if younger brother doesn't show in AA...
Both of their parents went to Northwestern. The dad played in the NFL with Harbaugh.
The good guys do win some of these Georgia battles. Dude's other two CBs are for Florida from when McElwain was there so there's another connection in our favor. Other positive sentences.
In an article by Dawgnation.com, he said that he really is not that interested in Georgia. He views himself to be talented enough to start as a freshman or redshirt freshman. If he went to georgia he would have to sit behind Fields for at least 3 years if fields redshirts, and probably the next QB that georgia takes in 2019. He also said that he was a Florida fan when he was younger, so that rivalry makes more of a difference. I like Michigans chances here.
If he is interested in Michigan then he may be thinking he can beat out Cade McNamara and Joe Milton?
We're doing quite well in Georgia. Something everyone seems to overlook is that even though Bailey is a very good prospect, Georgia is pulling in much higher rated QBs in every class, including top 5 overall prospects in 2016 and 2018.
We'll have plenty of competition, but most commits stick.
Who the hell is the quarterbacks coach at Georgia and why the f_ck do they get great talent? Georgia has sucked for so long. Oooh, made it to the NC one year and died. Can Michigan just make him an analyst and pay him double than loser dawg nation?
I read about this earlier today. I read it with a grain of salt. Signing Days for 2020 are still far off.
I'm happy about the verbal commit from Cade McNamara for 2019. And hopefully there will be a verbal commit from Harrison Bailey for 2020. Both of these guys are great. A better offensive line with Ed Warinner, and a better passing game, would make Michigan more attractive for getting him, and keeping Cade McNamara.
I too am pleased that Chris Partridge wil be involved with the recruitment of Harrison Bailey. Partridge has shown himself to be an effective recruiter. Should Bailey sign with us, that could well prove decisive.
I feel like putting in a crystal ball for whoever Chris Partridge is recruiting is the safest bet in the college football recruiting world right now.
From your mouth to God's ear!
Man with crystal balls should stay off the pogo stick
Cus you know out of all schools, UGA is gonna try and lock up the top talent from their home state by any mean$ nece$$ary
watched play in college/nfl have kids that are nearing the end of or have already retired from their nfl careers.
I do like seeing UM bloodlines like Wheatley and Hutchinson carry on the tradition even though it means I'm beyond old now.
Or how about guys inducted into the Hall of Fame after retirement.
go blue!
So we're getting excited already about having a Top 5 or Top 10 class in 2020?? These kids are high school sophomores. I knew this would be a long off-season but holy buckets.
This kid's a keeper.
But man, it's hard to trust 247.
I dont know if anyone knows this, but 2020 is a long ways away
'Cuz we're a basketball school!!
I don't expect Michigan to get any more high-caliber QBs til we show we can do something with them.
Cade McNamara says 'Hi!'
He is set for a significant rise in ranking. He was just at the Adidas 7on7 tournament with a lot of head scouting site representatives in attendance, and preformed really really well.
If he does go Michigan we may see Cade McNamara decommit like Kevin Doyle.
The only "high caliber QB" that UM has recruited and played has 44 attempts (Peters). Let's calm down.
What about the ones that have been recruited and not played?
2020? who cares about 2020? is this kid like 9 years old right now? 2020 is like, um..... 2 years away.
WTF? how is 2020 only 2 years away? FFS, that means I'm 2 years away from being 50 years old.
GET OFF MY LAWN!
I'm going to watch Jeopardy now.
He could go to Georgia, it's true. But is looks like he doesn't really want to go to Georgia because Justin Fields is there. He is angling for starting as a freshman.
"“I have kind of thought about that,” Bailey said. “I mean I love Justin. Great kid. I wouldn’t mind coming in and competing with him if that was absolutely the school I had the most desire to attend and come in and play for. But if I want to play as a freshman or even as a redshirt freshman, I have to make sure to look at all my best options.”"
There's an impressive list of schools after him. Go Blue young man!
