From most of the accounts it seems what set Wilton apart was his knowledge of the offense.

A family friend was a QB for the Packers and then for the Raiders. He said that 3rd string QB in the NFL is the best job in the world. You get paid very well, you won't get hurt, you get the glamor of being in the league, and you can do it for 20 years.

The only time they work up a sweat is with the practice squad where they try to mimic the opposing QB. Otherwise they are sitting on the pine making a cool 200K per season on average!

They're making a lot more than $200k.

think they land more than are sought. However, kickers....yeah..............

in and out quickly. 3rd string is reserved for young guys to see if they can turn into a starter or reliable backup. 2nd string is for the young guy that has turned into the starter-in-waiting or the veteran that isn't going to break the bank and will know the offense and be serviceable if forced into duty. The ol' career backup. That's who I think this guy is talking about.
Scott Tolzein. Jon Kitna. Todd Collins. Those types.

I think maybe Rodney Peete had one of the best back-up careers. He had a long career holding a clipboard, but he also got opportunities to start when he was younger, so he didn't have to wonder "What if?"
Plus he got to marry Holly Robinson.
Some guys lead a charmed life.

carved out a nice career as a back up QB.

Todd Collins and Charlie Batch are my picks for the top two ever. Both didn't play nearly as much as Henne or Peete and yet made an incredible amount of money. I think Collins and Batch played 16 and 15 seasons, respectively.

was the backup QB who invested a lot of money into tech companies, which made him insanely rich. He basically was living the dream.
I cannot for the life of me remember his name.

I am curious now....is it true, what Murray Head once sang about, that one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble? Inquiring, filthy minds wish to know.

Did you check out Soi Cowboy? Lotsa lady (and lady boy, if that's your thing, NTTAWWT) action there. The tom yum and river prawns fried with chilis and garlic are to die for.

Soi Cowboy is something else, but it is NOTHING compared to walking street on Pattaya Beach.
I mean this in terms of sheer jaw dropping spectacle. Whatever you choose to do from that point is up to you.

but with those limitations I'll say if you have a chance to do Bangkok, do it. Order your suits the first night, do some furniture shopping too; can get some awesome 40 year woodwork and then hit the town. You'll enjoy it.

And get your suits done by these guys.

Then hit the town and enjoy, Bangkok is now an international city so you can do a great brazilian steakhouse one night and then do the more traditional Thai seafood place the next. Just be aware if you're using a tuk tuk driver and are a single dude the drivers will spend all their time trying to get you to go to the dirty places(I think it's because they get paid to bring tourists there). You have to be firm with them and tell them what you really want if you want to enjoy the culture.
One really fun thing is to go to the Thai nightclubs where they have performers up on stage singing cover versions of pop hits. My favorite was "My Humps" being sung by a gorgeous Thai women who was IMHO far hotter than Fergie. Order a Mekhong(Thai Rice whiskey) and soda or coke and they'll bring the full bottles out to you and then you serve yourself. Just be prepared to go to the bathroom and get surprised by a shoulder massage when you use the urinal.

I don't see him having much success in D1A, even at a place like CMU or EMU. Plus who knows how he'll be after the injury.

Fuck off.
I mean that sincerely.
