I thought Peters handled today well - optimistic poster here
DPJ was in bounds - should have had 14 points in the first half, on the road at Camp Randall
Fumble due to injured wrist - his only turnover of the year
this despite the OL not being where it needs to be
Next year we have red-shirt sophomore Peters and red-shirt freshman McCaffrey
we have transition to Harbaugh recruited QB's and I like our future

Over 12000 points and you shit out that pftcommeter-type (read: 4chan) post. Pretty much reflects the state of the user base here.

is the Oedipus Bowl.
Fathers don't make it out unscathed either. Not family friendly as bowl games go.

Good work with Gentry and Peoples-Jones. Clearly developing a good trusted connection with the young receivers. We will be good with Peters. He's already showed the ability to move in the pocket and avoid the first rusher. He should look to throw on the move though. I really hope he's okay.

Florida Gators 3 wins; FSU 3 wins; Tennessee 4 wins; Nebraska 4 wins; UCLA 5 wins; Texas 5 wins; Oregon 5 wins; Texas Tech 5 wins....let us not forget the days of RichRod: 3-9; 5-7; 7-6

Not happy that M has three losses. But the reality is that this is a rebuild year. The very small and not highly ranked 2014 and 2015 classes (just 30 guys over two classes) make this roster the youngest in CFB since 2003. That is a big deal.
People should be more upset about losing to Iowa and OSU last year than being 8-3 this year. 2016 team really had the personnel to win the Big Ten, but it slipped away.
2017 team is super young.
They will develop and be really good in 2018 and 2019. But that happens only if the o-line next year can figure out how to pass protect... The o-line is (still) the thing that hold the offense back and will still be a big question mark going into 2018.

I agree with you on Peters...but HE GOT HURT.
Worst loss in this game. Not losing the game, but losing him.

saw some good things and some not-so-good things from Peters today [NOTE: it would help to have receivers with better ball skills]... but he will improve w/experience
concern: he's taken two in his face sacks from a blitzing end or corner this year (one today), that can't happen - back-side (blind-side) sacks are understandable, but a QB has to have: 1) the vision and 2) spatial awareness of a front-side blitz.
more reason for optimism w/Peters (because of his mobility and demeanor) next year than i have w/Speight

we knew we'd be young/rebuilding going into this year. Just because people are optimistic for the future doesn't mean they're not frustrated with the present.

I don't think any Michigan fan with a brain thought this year was the year. 2015 wasn't supposed to be the year but we were unexpectedly good. 2016 WAS supposed to be the year and we missed the playoffs by two plays. This year we have the youngest team in the US. Next year almost everyone is back.

gets it.
Only thing is that the o-line could again be the weak link of the team in 2018.
OTOH, maybe some of the young o-line guys (spanellis, steuber, filiaga, etc.) will end up being better.
In august people were most worried about CBs. They ended up being excellent. Maybe OL will work out that way in 2018. I'll believe it when I see it though.

he was when he commtted here after all. A ton of talent but raw. His play today was really encouraging. i really liked his instincts in the pocket. Right now his footwork is too static and he misses some throws but he has a bright future- assuming the offensive line keeps him upright.
