Game is a laugher. I thought 37 points was a bit much, but now I'm glad I didn't bet it.

And isn't like RS Junior Wilton Speight was lighting the world on fire.

We have more formations per point scored than anybody in college football.
That has to count for something, right?
Right?

FSU and UT both blew their final possesions because their young QBs made horrible mistakes...

And John O'Korn, hand picked by Jim Harbaugh, is a RS Senior in his third year of being Harbaughnized, AND he has a full years worth of starting experience and still, still much younger QBs on other teams would be pushing JOK down to the scout team.

Hand picked? He was a desperation move when looking at our roster... If you want to question Harbaugh on a hand picked player it should be Peters not O'Korn.
October 21st, 2017 at 5:55 PM ^
It isn't an either or proposition, he hand picked both of them, and Gentry too for that matter.

If Harbaugh didn't pick him, who did?

but it seems like teams do stupid things against State.
"We have a legit NFL receiver so lets see if we can set the world record for QB draws in a half"

How did we lose to State and almost lose to Indiana? I have to face the reality we aren't good and have a limited ceiling this year. Watching these teams makes the fact undeniable.

Another reason I hate the comparison: you are talking about a program with A LOT more quality depth class to class than Michigan had the last couple years. Besides talented young players we're forced to play some very pedestrian veterans.

Not really just Michigan State either, the others teams we played or struggled against this season haven't been looking great either:
- Florida (3-3)
- Cincinnati (2-5)
- Air Force (3-4)
- Purdue (3-4)

Completely disagree. The difference between these two teams and us is our ceiling. We're still young, we're trending the right way on the OL, especially with JBB, it's just a matter of the coaches and O'Korn getting in sync and doing what they can with him rather than force him into a pocket QB. Or Peters.
October 21st, 2017 at 5:35 PM ^
We knew this.
It's frustrating because the defense is way ahead of where we thought it would be, so even a mediocre offense would be enough to win the Big Ten.
But the net result is still what we thought . . . a 3 +/- loss team in a rebuilding year.
Is what it is.

If we had a good QB, we probably beat MSU and win big against Indiana. I wouldn't say we aren't good, we are just lacking in the most important position on the field.

The words are "five" and "turnovers".
Hard to beat anybody with that.
