Michigan Moves up to #15 in the Coaches Poll, Down To #19 In AP Poll
PSU is now #2, of course. So next weekend will be a pretty marquee game.
The lines aren't out yet, but I am guessing PSU will be favored by something like 9 or 10. In my opinion, they should be favored by about 17. If O'Korn gets rattled during a day game at Indiana, he is going to curl up in the fetal position at PSU at night.
FYI, a viable passing offense is an important part of modern college football.
MOD EDIT - slight addition to catch all the poll discussion - LSA

I wish I had a nickle for every wrong prediction you've made about MSU.

Have you seen MSU? They are not great.
Sure Michigan lost to Sparty. That is what happens when you turn it over 5 times. But here is the thing: Both Michigan and Michigan State looked bad in that game.
There is only one thing Michigan needs to think about: Winning the next game.
Who controls 'destiny' is irrelevant. Just keep playing elite D and improve on offense each week. The rest will take care of itself.

Good chance one of PSU or OSU only loses once (and beats MSU) if we win out, so then it's a three-team tiebreaker at 1 loss where each team is 1-1. We then win by tiebreaker #5:

Polls are just so dumb. A failed 50/50 2 pt conversion attempt by Utah is worth probably 10+ spots for USC.

Charlie Strong and South Florida have been very interesting this year

Not impressive to me. The only big teams they've beaten name-wise is Illinois, who lost to Rutgers and Temple who is a bad team this year. Don't get the USF hype.

Chill guy, I didn't say they were a playoff team. I'm saying they've looked good as a group of five team and especially since Charlie did so poorly at Texas.

Seemed pretty chill.

I just think they're overhyped. You're only as good as the competition you play. That's why I think we were overhyped early on and why MSU is overhyped during this stretch of their schedule. Same with USF. Play someone with a pulse and I'll buy in. Personally, don't see it.

MSU is overhyped after beating us at home at night and Minnesota at night? Ummm, ok.

Yes, but everyone else in the 20's has bad losses also, so here we are.

So I assume if we lose next week we won't be ranked, if they dropped after a win and a bunch of higher ranked teams lost/struggled as well.

Win on the road, nearly cover the spread, and move down 2 spots with all the chaos in the top 10?
THE FUCK?!

Why is Khalid Hill on twitter mad about dropping to 19th in the AP poll. He should quit feeling sorry for himself & realize how the team has played the last two weeks.

According to the UM statistics archive, UM has beaten the #2 team on the road three times:
1963 at Illinois; we were unranked at the time en route to a 3-4-2 season
1996 at OSU; we were #21 and finished 8-4
2006 at ND; we were #11 and finished 11-2
(Caveat: the database doesn't list rankings prior to 1936)

but without TV coverage back then we got no bump in the polls.

For us to upset psu on the road. Defense gives us a chance and the offense at this point can only be a pleasant surprise. If there's a time to open up the playbook or try things we haven't seen (since we haven't seen anything to date), it's now. Much rather go in being the underdog and trying to beat the #2 in the country. If that doesn't motivate the guys.
GO BLUE!!

Honestly, I don't care about these polls. They don't matter until the end of the season, we just have to keep winning. We should wait at least until the CFP polls start coming out before we even remotely care.
But seriously? We move down two spots for winning? And Clemson barely moves?
